I realise this reaction was filmed years ago (for a film made many years before that), but, in answer to one of your questions - the actor playing Veruca's dad is Roy Kinnear, who was quite a prolific comedic/character actor in his day, so you could well have seen him in something else. However, what I do know you have seen is his son Rory, who played Badminton in Our Flag Means Death! There is definitely some family resemblence there. He also played the British PM in the infamous first episode of Black Mirror.

There HAS to be one you guy would like... I vote for Sound of Music, Grease, Dreamgirls or Hairspray.
