I don't know they delve into Jeremiahs inferiority complex with Conrad in the scene where he tells his dad "im not conrad" so I always have felt like he sees getting belly as a competition with his brother, as he can never win anything when it comes to conrad. While Conrad truly loves belly and doesn't view it as a competition at all.
