Later reinforced that he has shut off his heart when he was more than okay to throw the infected child into the fire pit. Also Ellie is about 13 yrs old here. Bella (the actress) is 16 IRL. Fun fact- the actress that plays Marline was the voice actress for the character in the game. And lastly, Rizzo, if it helps. This show is not centered around the cortocep zombies. They also do not aim to kill, but rather to spread their infection. It isn't air borne either, it gets explained more in later eps so I won't go too much into detail, but it is passed from host to host.
