2025-11-05 17:46:32 +0000 UTCDamn, watching these movies always makes me want to reread the books. I just reread 2 and 3 and I'd forgotten how good they are. They flow really well, all the characters feel like full characters. One change I noticed (that I don't think many people have mentioned on YT) is that when the book says "the Capital" the movie will say "Snow". Idk if this was attempt to make Katniss & snow's animosity seem stronger, to give more of a hero vs villain vibe or whether it was to specifically obfuscate the ordinary people vs oppressive system vibes. Until Coin makes that speech and dies, the films seem to be going out of their way to say Snow is the only thing keeping the Capital the way it is. Makes me wonder
