So I just finished watching season one last week. I haven't seen the film or read the books but I was aware of Claudia as I knew Kirsten Dunst's breakthrough role at 12 was in the film, so I was unsure if Claudia being aged up enough be played by an adult, so they could avoid dealing with child labour laws limiting filming time was a good idea. However, Claudia became one of my favourite characters and it was episode 4 that properly hooked me and made me watch the rest of the season in one sitting (before that I was unsure of the show, like it was good but I'm wasn't sure if it was for me). Also, I don't know how far from the source material this strays but I think if Claudia's actress was a child I'd find certain aspects a lot more uncomfortable. I want to read the books but one thing that makes me hesitant is in the books Claudia is a five year-old. 😬

Louis is attached so quickly because he wants a family member, he NEEDS one... and a daughter is revealed to him through his own vampiric undoings. She is integrated so quick because she is OF Louis and Lestat, Louis caused her death, and Lestat gave her a new one... she is their DAUGHTER. And yes, she was turned at 14, (in the book it's 5 yrs old, in the movie it's 9 yrs old) so her body will stay the same but her mind will grow with the years.
