Not sure if it's possible, but if a discord channel can be locked and invisible for everyone but the admins (so no one can vote after closing the channel) would maybe help to get the correct characters, the admins then can also take a bit more time to count the ♥ on all the suggestions.

There seems to be many people who dont understand how it works, like there were this time a lot of people who even forgot to heart their own suggestion. So i would believe there are some who heart after it is closed.
