I didn't know the genre nor did I check out a trailer for this movie. I was a complete Cold Caller and I loved it! Like one of those mystery screenings you sometimes get with cinema cards.
Like the other recent feature films on the channel, I speak about the filmmaking side of things before playing the tape. I hope you enjoy the movie because I know I did. Great way to kick of the Spooktober season.

Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers return to their Mississippi hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.

Fianlly watched this movie last night, didn't love it personally but can respect it. You do technically see Smoke die, him accepting the baby is him accepting death.

2025-10-22 15:33:38 +0000 UTCI gotta say Michael B Jordan has turned into a slick character cast type and Ryan Coogler, who has casted him in 6 movies so far is just working that into the tomb for me. No range, his acting was the least impressive of all the cast, I just cannot sit through the same role in different movies. I'm done with the director and Michael B Jordan.

This film did not surprise me, I knew how it would go down from the get go. And on the catharsis of the film to go from imax to 70mm, what the hell? Also the ending is so contrived. Unnecessary film, someone retire vampires from media, they're doomed to genre stereotypes.
