“Bind To Me” - String Prep Herbal Bath Recipe & Explanation

Good afternoon moon babes! Happy Friday the 13th and Venus Day! Today I wanted to share a step in a binding ritual that I showed today in my Venus day ritual. This step can be used in many different ways when you use any kind of twine or intend to use knot magic of any kind.

When I know I am going to be utilizing string in spells I immediately lean towards a herbal bath and oils to bury the string in for a while before using the string to further bind things during my ritual. This brings spirit and an immense amount of energy towards your spell and each specific ritual you do. Bringing the energy up higher without having to use your own personal energy every step of the way, think of it like charming items to use during your rituals.

In hoodoo we often bury things into roots and the land, I like doing this herbal bath to ‘bury’ things quickly. Once I have created the blend I bury whatever item in (can be string, oftentimes I do this with enchantments on jewelry, tarot decks during welcoming ceremonies, keys, offerings ect.) I will leave this on my altar for a while to charge or if you are doing a longer ritual with other steps do this towards the beginning, allow it to charge on your altar while you continue with your ritual and take off the altar once its time. Leaving your ancestors / deities  a small bowl of the herbs as an offering

What You’ll Need For the Binding Bath (I have shown other binding spells on here you can refer to if you want to try another method as well!)

-Cherry bark - potency, love, seduction, attraction

-Juniper berries - Sensuality, love, clarity, attraction.

-Ginger- speed up the spell, add warmth.

-Catsclaw - drawing, attraction, blessings,

-Marshmallow root - wisdom, soothes the heart, protection,

-Rose -  attraction, lust, love, allure

-Hawthorn - harmony, binding, marriage, compassion.

-Pomegranate - manifestations, wishes, wisdom.

-Cinnamon - lust, love, potency, attraction, speed.

-Licorice root - lust, sensuality, dominance.

-Damiana - lust, love, attraction, sensuality.

-Clove Dominance oil 5 drops

-Siren oil 5 drops

-Lust over me oil 5 drops
