It doesn't really matter whether the study is 30 mins or 2 hours, you just need to adjust your goals according to your time limit and focus on extracting practical info that you can use later on. With these really short studies the info is going to come in little nuggets, but they compound onto one another to create competence and a rich visual library.
The thing that I cemented into my visual library in this study was mainly the way the edge of metallic objects reflects the environment behind them, so, here, for example. the edges of the armor gradate towards white so that they visually appear soft, and in some places completely lost.
