2018-02-09 22:36:15 +0000 UTCAlso the back view let's the viewer create their own scene in their head. Is that Sky Brush happy with the piece, intensely focused, smiling smugly, panicked, frustrated with it? Those are all emotions that I've experienced working at the table.

2018-02-09 19:07:28 +0000 UTCYes. This is something of a parody of the October 1938 Saturday Evening Post where Norman Rockwell did his first self portrait of himself. Not the famous one he did later of himself looking at the viewer in the mirror. In the 1938 version you only see the back of his head. I thought leaving it up to viewer to wonder what Sky Brush is thinking might be interesting.
