Sadly all WCW Wrestlers with the exception of Goldberg, Ric Flair & Booker T, Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio & Chris Benoit (until the obvious) were all eventually buried by Vince McMahon's writing as revenge for them leaving WWE/F to sign with WCW to help Eric Bischoff in trying to run the WWE/F out of business. :o I've actually wondered what the wrestling world would look like right now had, Vince McMahon and WWE/F lost the Monday Night Wars and WWE was bought out by Ted Turner (owner of Time Warner and Warner Bros) and Eric Bischoff if we'd all be watching WCW Monday Nitro and WCW Thunder every Monday and Thursday Nights right now instead of Monday Night RAW and Smackdown. :o Also Instead of WrestleMania being the Flagship show of the year, it would be WCW Starrcade :o Fun Fact: Starrcade was WCW's version of WrestleMania and it aired in December instead of April or March :)

You must absolutely react to the PLE Backlash. France is the best crowd of all time (and I don't say that because I'm French π)

Jim Ross is the best play by play commentator of all time. He's kind of become a bit of a parody of himself in his old age, but when he was a younger man, nobody did it better.

You should definitely dive into this invasion storyline, when the WWF battled WCW and ECW (The Alliance). It was an 8 month storyline that ended at the 2001 Survivor Series in a winner take all match.

Pro wrestling used to have WrestleMania level excitement/hype every week in those days it was unreal. The competition with WCW forced both companies to go balls to the wall. You basically got PPV main events every week on both shows for years in addition to all the craziness. The look, themes, feel etc. were on point. Back then pro wrestling was legitimately cool and nobody looked at you funny if you said you were a fan because it was so popular.

Possibly a top three greatest heel of all time. Maybe even the greatest. In the 60s, he caused people to riot, fans to stab him over 21 times, and there was the urban legend that he caused Japanese viewers to have heart attacks when he drew blood from Rikidozan by biting into his forehead.

WWF just bought WCW/ECW and turned into a storyline where they were invading WWF to take over. Although it was what everybody wanted to see, it was watered down cuz the big WCW stars like Hulk Hogan, Goldberg, Sting, Ric Flair, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and Scot Steiner werent in the storyline. They all eventually came to WWE but it was after the Invasion storyline was over.

That was Classy Freddie Blassie in the wheelchair.

Oh man I remember this. After Vince McMahon bought WCW and ECW he created this storyline as a huge plan b after Triple H went out of action due to tearing his quad muscle during a tag match with Steve as his partner wrestling Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit. This was where WCW Wrestlers and ECW wrestlers joined forces to become a huge faction team called The Alliance. :) The elderly man in the wheelchair was WWE Legend and Hall of Famer "Classy" Freddie Blassie who sadly passed away in 2003. Classy Freddie Blassie voiced many of WWE/F Commercials including the Classic WrestleMania Intros. U should watch the matches this was building to. There's 2 of them to complete this storyline. 1st one (this segment was hyping) was held at their WWE Invasion PLE, and the rematch took place at Survivor Series in 2001. The meaning behind "The Old Stone Cold" and why Undertaker was angary with Vince for bring up Austin's name is cause Steve turned Heel at WM17 and joined forces with Vince and Triple H and put Undertaker and Kane thru hell. This segment was a very temporary face turn, cause at the conclusion of the first match at the Invasion PLE. Steve turned heel again by turning on Team WWF and joined The Alliance Faction that was led by Stephanie McMahon, Shane McMahon and Paul Hayman. :o That out come started a feud with Kurt Angle. Hopefully this helps answer any questions u have about this bit, and that u had yourself an awesome vacation :)
