Weekly Status Report: 2026/01/11 to 2026/01/17

Much progress on Blood Blockade Battlefront this week! I finished season 1 and am four episodes into season 2. It's been so long since I've seen season 2 that I've forgotten A LOT of what happens. I remember liking Luciana a lot (she's even my avatar on Discord right now), but I totally forgot why.

I plan to finish at least most of season 2 today, then dive into finishing the outline. This week I took notes on the early BBB fandom and Dark Horse manga release. The fandom has helped fill in some blanks.

As of now, I have reached out to eight people involved in some capacity with Blood Blockade Battlefront (English dub, English manga, or the official soundtrack), and of those people, two have responded, both involved with the soundtrack: Shira Z. Carmel (as you all know) and Ben Lorentzen. Lorentzen didn't have much to say, so we forwent an interview. Still, I felt the information he provided in his messages was valuable, so you can look forward to it in the video. In the interest of getting this out by March, I have a hard cutoff for interviews on February 14th unless it's Yasuhiro Nightow himself (although I don't know what I'd ask him, lol).

I also worked some on Project Bill thanks to Xavier. Given the topic is diverse, I've decided to separate Project Bill into parts. It has a cult following across its many, many, MANY iterations. The plan is to make it an "all summer long" thing (maybe dipping into autumn), then release a "supercut" in December. We'll see if that plans holds.
