With Christmas tomorrow, I just realized TSM has never stopped to celebrate a birthday or holiday. Surely someone on the crew, or someone in their extended family has grown a little older during the last two years of the story. I have no idea what holidays any of the races celebrate, but if Tefler has not defined them yet, maybe we should help him a little. Maybe John could invade the Brimorian Enclave on International Sushi Day or pickup Jack on International Beer Day. This might not be a big hole in TSM, but I think it would be fun to see how the Ashanath celebrate World Pole Dance Day or National Curves Day. Ideas?

The story says the grubs eat through the leathery egg sack without harming the host. That said, it is said from the Kirrix perspective.

Just putting this out there. I am rereading the liberation of Carolus III and Brecken's World. The hive queen revealed the prior reproductive cycle of the Kirrix with the Luphids. But I am wondering, if it hasn't been brought up already, the Kirrix claim to be peaceful and reproduced symbiotically with the Luphid eggs, But the every species' children are cut up to feed the new born grubs. What did the grubs eat pre-Shroud? Are they selectively revealing that they would eat the Luphid shortly after being born, like some species on Earth? If so, what little sympathy I felt before is just about nil now.

What about Alyssa creating a super strong "Null Zone" around a Progenitor like she did on Ashana in the Market but a Progenitor could not break out of? Something like what Larn did to John when he was a prisoner or his battle with Baledranax. When he has no access to his abilities they blast him with Runic Penatrators from their rifles.

In the last chapter the Eldritch spike John sent down the Hive Queen's link and wipe them out, I wonder if he could do that same thing to an Progenitor's Matriarch? Possibly without killing the thralls but instead sever them from the network? If he could do that it would cripple a Progenitors power available. Could come in handy during a battle maybe even as a last ditch defense.

I have pointed out that a person giving the minimum since Tef started his Patreon is not very much. It is probably eclipse by someone's yearly pizza budget, a few phone apps. Hell the average person probably spends more on candy bars on a yearly basis. And this is the total price since the beginning. Even at the higher member rates, that equals a few nights at the movies, a bunch of drive through meals. We are getting a lot for our money.

While we are on the subject of thanking Tefler for all of the enjoyment he has given us, and while we are politely complaining about how long it takes for us to get our fix of the next chapter, let's think about the ways we can actually and materially thank Tefler. Consider increasing your membership tier. $2 won't even buy a decent cup of coffee, and I know that I get a lot more enjoyment out of reading each chapter than I do out of a cup of coffee. And with Tefler's schedule of releases, this is per month! Consider your own finances first, of course, but then think about how much you spend on other stuff that doesn't give you a tenth of the pleasure that you get when you get the email that a new chapter has arrived. Consider increasing your contribution to the man who makes all of this possible. I am strictly speaking for myself, I have had no contact with Tefler other than as a devoted reader, but in this season of giving, think about giving a little more back to someone who gives you a fine read.

A couple of chapters back I was thinking that Tom and Abby would end of in the same hospital location and Rachel would do her magic but I think Abby is at Olympus and Tom is on Terra so it looks like the Tom thread will not be solved soon. Also he is waking up by himself. The question is what will he remember and will Anna stand by him when he is accused of being a traitor. I'm hoping that Beth is still alive and her and Tom can be an item after the truth comes out.

I make a point of staying outside of paywalls, as I simply don't see very much on the web that I think is worth the money. Tefler, you are the exception to this. You have given me so much enjoyment for my money that I am now obsessive about John and the girls, and all of the fully-fleshed out attendant characters (I can't wait to find out what happens to Tom Walker now that we know that Anna still loves him, and I am seriously looking forward to my schadenfreude of John and Athgiloi's next meeting). Take time for your family, especially your wife and mini-Tef. And fully enjoy whatever holiday celebration you care to celebrate. Believe me, all of us will still be here when you next post.

It was right around Christmas, twelve long months ago. I had just finished reading a story on LIT or SOL with a title I cannot remember. Written by an author who's name escapes me. I would guess releasing the first half, would be consistent with the past couple. Either way, I enjoyed both halves of the current chapter so much I actually downloaded the combined version, which had a little more in it than the individual parts did, and read it all from start to finish again.
