Tefler, I think these might be inconsistent. In 79, “Other than her periodic feedings to maintain her youthful vigour, this was yet another startling first. What was going on? He’d never expressed that kind of interest in her before!” In 121, ““Just imagine what it must be like for Ailanthia...” her companion murmured with a wistful smile. “Being his bedmate every night...”“

Bolon - Telepathic gelatinous species which is actually a colony creature. Bolon are nomadic and solitary creatures as they have so many voices within each colony entity. Bolons change colors based on their emotional state and have the ability to 'taste' and even feed on the emotional states of others. They use humanoid robots as interpreters to communicate with non-telepathic races. Couldn't Dana use bolon technology to have Faye enter into their physic network?

well the UK is the origin of Greenwich Mean Time (as in Greenwich, England)... so throw in daylight savings time and Tefler is 1 hour ahead of GMT. Its currently about 2 PM in London

Dude! You got an epic confrontation in the only way it could have happened, John and his girls against Larn. Larn didn't have his fleets with him, how was he going to have a giant space battle? Rest assured, John still has the Brimorians and the Admirals to deal with in T-Fed. So you have at least two battles more before it all ends. Then there are about 2 dozen open threads that need resolution. The fat lady is warming her throat, but she isn't singing just yet.

This being a two part climactic point in the story makes it doubly important to get right. These scenes tie off a lot of loose threads in the story and inconsistencies could really hurt the epilogue. I for one, deeply appreciate the time Tefler is taking to ensure his story stays coherent and consistent. Something he has done with this work with an uncanny level of accuracy to this point.

It's a massive undertaking to write a story of this magnitude. Continuity and explanations alone have to be given their time, especially with the Jedi Master always watching your six. Your fan base craves more, but they can wait for it to be done right and yes, editors need to comb the thing over, at this point that's not your job.

From chapter 121: "I'm over 9000 years old… I've seen a lot of strange things in my time, but I find you to be a true enigma." So, he's not over 10,000 years old, or he would have said so... and Mael'nerak's final battle with Rahn'agon was over 10K years ago. So, he's approximately 1000 years or more younger than that event.

Even...if your correct in your statement Larn was around 10,000 yrs old , do you think it's a coincidence that was when Mael &amp; or Ranagon or both died ? or possibly a look into the timing of when the Astral Beings bring forth a new Progenitor ?

Larn’Kelnar was so young... less than 10K years old... and within only a few years (less than that, I believe) of being within this part of space, his Matriarch’s hair had turned white and he had at least started to fall in love. Mael’nerak was much older and in this region of space for tens of thousands of years before he too fell in love with his Matriarch and became even somewhat of a ‘good’ guy. Rahn’agon has been in this region of space for over 10K years. What impact has this had upon him? In each case, after Mael’nerak at least, the Progenitors had been *sent* to this region of space. By whom? For what purpose? With what knowledge? For example, how did Larn’Kelnar know about John before John knew about himself? Larn’Kelnar wasn’t in communication with the Astral beings while in this region of space, or at least, that’s what’s implied, and he’s been here since before John first met Alyssa, so how did he learn of the budding Progenitor whose ship he first saw while in Ashanath space? DId he somehow recognize that John was a Progenitor during that encounter? If so, how?

I wouldn't be surprised if this was the bad guy to bring John into the galactic scene proper the gatekeeper to unlocking higher power so to speak, as opposed to just running around on a smaller scale. I expect he will have the tech unlocked in short order and will start building up to taking on what I expect to be the big bad: the evil astral powers.

Tying up events on the black ship must be about the mum and maybe dad mtg, dana running thru the daffodils as she absorbs all, alyssa picking up Larns scptre or similar, the reconnection and modification to the raptor and invictus, Rill rediscovering secrets to help Faye and grow her interface with the net, the PJ and John confrontation... but what will the cliff hanger be. There will be one!!!! Can't wait

Thanks for the update. As someone who had dabbled in prose a bit, the hardest part for me when writing is not getting stuck rereading all the stuff I've already written. I've gotten 70K words into a novel of my own, and the longer it gets, the slower I write. :/

So did the "Conclusion" part refer to this arc? Or to TSM? Because you've wrapped up the main conflict pretty fast - too fast, frankly, given how much buildup we had. It's not that he wasn't sufficiently evil or powerful, it's that they really did just get the upper hand on him in the span of like an hour. It's a good marker for how far they've come, but it's not the most satisfying ending for the Big Bad, especially since it was their first face-to-face.
