Tefler, I can't find where anyone else has pointed this typo out, but in the scenes with Fat Tony and his girls, when Perl has mounted Tony, there is this: "This was new for him too as Perl melted into his arms, the blissful expression on HIS face making his heart skip a beat. " I think that should read HER face.

I think RL will have washed over Tef, and I’m afraid that’s more important anytime, especially this time of the year. Thanks for the feedback everyone! This was a bit of a different chapter to write, as I wanted to show some of the human suffering of the people assaulted by the Kirrix, which I'd glossed over beforehand. Aside from the Kirrix murdering children which is appalling in itself, those adults that survived infestation would still be left with very deep scars. Helene is the Lion's answer to that, helping the colonists on Brecken's World and Valia Gate. Unfortunately, her development was too late to help those on Carolus III... I've updated a new version which fixes a bunch of typos, so thanks for pointing those out. I tweaked the bit about Krisalei looking through opaque crystal, so that it's clearer that she's unarmoured because it's one-way glass. :-)

I enjoyed the chapter very much. I think Tony could make for some good training for the girls and assist fae in designing other challenging training scenarios for the team. He has some street level combat experience to come up with some tactical training that might prove useful for them. Like if punching some asshole in the chest doesn't work. Maybe the answer isn't to punch harder but punch lower. You wont be able to over power every enemy you meet. Presumably there are others as strong or powerful as you or even more so. Knowing how to make their strength a weakness will be important. This is training the girls could get without John being involved for once. Why.. Because he hasn't dealt with his dark guide yet. Also yea the two life long whores (no offense) might have some tricks up there sleeves and next time one of the girls needs a top up right quick a prostate pinch or the back door mini drill might be in order for John at his surprise I'm sure. Lol

another well written chapter. Risking a wave of negative feed back I have to say that at the end of the chapter I was left less than satisfied. The writing and story telling was fine but my expectations left me hanging (and there was no cliff hanger!!) - not the Great Creators fault but my own. I liked how the prompt for Faye to consider her matriarch like status was worked in (you are a real girl just a different reality) - leaves scope for development. I like others wondered about Alyssa and Dana looking to expand their sexual prowess with Keli and Perl - device or not. I was surprised that Alyssa's reaction to Fat Tony was so tempered compared to her first reaction - makes sense the mellowing but 100 to 0 seemed a bit more than anticipated. if Tony was not there would John really have recruited Kelli and Perl as lionesses? Really? Still wondering how they will get to go back to karron and the artifact. Good call by Jade about John and her sisters - watch for further developments. You're forgetting how much exposure to Terran culture the Maliri get through Terran entertainment channels.

“The lady doth protest too much...” is a Terran cultural reference likely to be lost on the Maliri twins. Perhaps switch it to "Your Royal Thrallness doth protest too much..." I think a phrase like "Your Royal Thrallness" would be very useful during their roleplaying, and would likely appeal to Irillith since it simultaneously acknowledges her nobility and subjugation. There could possibly be lines from John like: "My apologies, Your Royal Thrallness, but this lesson must be repeatedly pounded home until you adopt a civil tone."

Getting a truce going so they could rescue as many of the colonists as possible and denying herself her instinct to dish out justice? You know, I think they'd be pretty damned pleased about that.

I disagree, and think there should be more sex. John and crew all realize the tactical importance of his magic cum, so one of the ladies should (at minimum) get a quick liquid breakfast when he wakes up every morning. If not, he is wasting his most valuable resource.

Well now, the appearance of LK's ship at the end of the chapter, just before the Raptor jumps out to hunt the Kirrix, was certainly an unexpected twist. I have to wonder what LK was doing there. Is he there to invite John for tea, or could it be that John finally has the drop on him? If only John knew that LK was so close. Finding out what happens next is one New Year's Resolution that I intend to keep.
