Three Square Meals, Chapter 100-3
Added 2018-03-05 15:37:08 +0000 UTC*** EDITED - 9th Mar - Fixed a bunch of typos! ***
Hey everyone!
Here it is, the grand finale of the (second) Battle of Terra!
I've gone through the edit feedback on the first half and I'll make a note on here as I do more edits over the next few days.
I hope you enjoy the chapter! :-)

We all know John gives his girls closure in one form or another. This time both Jehanna and Jade are going to want their pound of flesh. And God help them if they've done anything bad to the other Nymphs. I see Jade Dragon coming out to play! Jehanna is just going to want to publish all the dirty shit they've dug up on the Terran Federation.

2018-03-21 22:41:08 +0000 UTCWell, there *is* a known variance between UK and US english when referring to floors of a building. US tends to number the floor at ground level as the 1st floor, UK tends to call that the 'ground floor' and number the floor above it as the 1st floor (1st above ground level). When referring simply to outdoors surface level, 'ground' is correct. That said, it's not uncommon to see someone refer to the ground as the 'floor', even though it's an outdoor unfloored surface. Personally that one grinds my teeth a bit, as it isn't strictly correct, but I see it often enough that I'm forced to tolerate it. If it was in an english class paper I'd mark it down, but in casual speech I can let it slide.
2018-03-12 13:21:50 +0000 UTCClassic and as we used to say in school: "Burn! What a burn!"
2018-03-11 23:39:16 +0000 UTCIrillith to Grand Prelate Melkadian at the moment of his death: “There are far too many genocidal maniacs running around the galaxy, and unlike my mother, there’s no way back for you...”
2018-03-11 16:57:52 +0000 UTCUS President Woodrow Wilson tried to argue forgiveness after WWI with his "14 Points of Light" and it didn't work. The Allies essentially told him to mind his own business and go pound sand. WWII was even worse than WWI and we all know how post-WWII was handled. For the most part, the soldiers and sailors in both world wars did not actively and enthusiastically promote and participate in genocide or war crimes, that's what made the war crime trials exceptions rather than the rule. The Kintark 'soldiers' that surrendered and are currently gathering at the invasion site on Terra absolutely did just exactly that with "No Quarter" all the way to Terra. They were interrupted in the middle of trying to do it again. That doesn't justify destroying every last Kintark but the 'soldiers' on the battlefield right now were the ones doing the hand-to-hand slaughtering after the navy was tired of wasting ammo and energy shooting things that couldn't shoot back.
2018-03-11 04:15:18 +0000 UTCI don't think that John will allow anything to drastic to happen to the Kintark Empire . They will need to restructure their government & bring forward leaders that will negotiate a peace going forward . They probably will have to lose planets & systems to try & pay some sort of reparations & any leaders still around that had a hand in planning the invasion will have to stand trail eventually . With the loss of almost all military space ships there will be the need for the other victors to police the trade routes (sort of like United Nations Peacekeepers ) , other wise it will engender a whole sale pirate explosion which will only bleed into the other territories . It would take decades to build back up any sort of Military threat & hopefully by then peace will be established rendering the issue moot if the T-Fed handles the aftermath properly . Hopefully with his popularity John can sell the War as the result of two power crazed leaders Baldranax & Buckingham ( not sure if bringing LK to light would be good or bad ) . There are scores of example of the right way to treat vanquished enemies (allies after WW1 pinned fault & punished , US & allies after WW2 pushed reconciliation & rebuilding & we saw which worked better ) .

2018-03-11 02:13:33 +0000 UTCBeen a lot of discussion about LK's comment about family , in reading older posts came across one that mentioned that Mael had breed Valada & Jessica & also LK's pregnant thrall , but I would bet LK only considers John "family" . Progenitors produce vast numbers of thralls but don't seem to consider them family so I think it has more to do with being male & possessing the Power that makes John Family not any accident of birth .

2018-03-10 20:29:35 +0000 UTCWhen is the third book going to be released?
2018-03-10 19:54:41 +0000 UTCI have a suggestion. Instead of a Fleet Admiral running everything, I think they need a civilian overseer to start a Republic. Perhaps Rachel's Dad along with Charles as the Fleet Admiral working for him...

2018-03-10 19:24:28 +0000 UTCI still maintain my quibble with Tefler's use of the word "floor" -vs- "ground" in CH 100.2 and 100.3 (multiple instances). Tefler, is this possibly another of those sometimes insidious "divided by a common language" things at play? ;-)

2018-03-10 19:09:59 +0000 UTCIt's my hope that Tefler will find the ebooks take less of his time the further he gets on... with the quality feedback & revisions done on Patreon, the story is far more cohesive and polished, so that *should* translate to speedier edits for the later books...unless he decides to add in some extra story bits of course!
2018-03-10 18:41:25 +0000 UTCAlyssa glanced at John, *What do you think, John, is there any way we can allow Krisalei, Lorathyra, and Torvanna to talk with Murphy? Maybe it will help him out when he talks to his friend, Binary.*. *As Queen of the Maliri,* Edreal responded, *I think [...]!*.
2018-03-10 18:32:10 +0000 UTCI still think it would be uniquely different to have Murphy or even his entire squad (5 people) meet the three Maliri saviors face to face with no armour in a private session sworn to secrecy to set the stage for possible future happenings! Wouldn't Murphy make the perfect pilot to be in charge of future pilot training...maybe see what he can learn from the Maliri too? It could be specially approved by John and Edraele! Isn't it fun to make sideways suggestions!!

2018-03-10 17:50:19 +0000 UTCIn the Discord channel Tefler mentioned planning to start on chapter 101 today March 10, 2018. Possibly it might be available around the 20 or 21st.
2018-03-10 16:32:13 +0000 UTC3 to 4 weeks to go for chapter 101, i think as Tefler has to complete ebook3 first..
2018-03-10 14:22:14 +0000 UTCMy sentiments exactly.
2018-03-10 14:19:58 +0000 UTCJohn already has his thrall race & planet , Valaden & the Maliri , even if he plans to treat them differently than other Progenitors . They are still his source of power .
bigdawguw65
2018-03-10 13:22:52 +0000 UTCI'm of two minds about the revision to John's fight with Baledranax. While I like that John is still shown being capable, I think it really added complexity to Larn'Kelnar's character that he wanted John to win enough to take away Baledranax's advantage.
2018-03-10 11:15:03 +0000 UTCAfter reading 100-3 I was wondering what the goal of the Progenitors, to wipe out the races they made before, to run John around the galaxy like a cat chasing a laser or some other thing. Also when will John create a planet or race?
2018-03-10 08:52:11 +0000 UTCMaybe they're doing lizzerd seppuku for failing and not protecting their Emperor.
2018-03-10 05:18:08 +0000 UTCSo, here's a question. The Kintark ground troops, after they've started surrendering, are regrouping at their landing site. Isn't that where the battle carriers and the flag ship crashed? Shouldn't the area be a big pile of burning wreckage at the moment?

2018-03-10 01:54:20 +0000 UTCWell, Alyssa's null field on Ashana was 2 km, so that might be close to the range for the device.
LunarLilith
2018-03-09 23:54:51 +0000 UTCConsidering the range and effects of the psy-nullifier: 1) John was closet to the device -- hundreds of meters -- and lost all of his powers; 2) Alyssa, Tashana and Rachel were in visual range -- maybe kilometers away -- but close enough that they lost all powers. 3) Sakura was in geosynchronous orbit above Unity City. Once her energy reserves were nearly depleted, she lost super speed and could not tap into Alyssa's energy network. She used her last reserves to freeze her weapons for one last killing blow. 4) Dana was far from Terra, on her way to Saturn. Her ability to create and manipulate magnetic fields was unaffected by the nullifier. 5) Irillith, aboard the Invictus, moving toward Saturn, hacked Kintark vessels without interruption. 6) Calara on the Invictus moving toward Saturn never lost her psychic prescience or command coordination genius. 7) Jade, approaching Ganymede, was blocked from telepathic communication with John and Alyssa but otherwise seemed unaffected. So, the "range limits" of the nullifier are not clear. Those in sight of the device were shut down completely. Sakura in orbit was blocked from the energy network. Jade's contact with John and Alyssa was blocked. Dana, Irillith and Calara seemed unaffected, except they could not recharge when their energy was tapped out. I wonder if the nullifier's range is in the shape of a sphere of a determined volume? This imprecise review provides little tactical guidance as an answer. However, I believe there must be a range limit to the nullifiers' effects on the surface of a planet, even if it is over the horizon. That may or may not apply to the volume of the nullifier sphere in space. Only Tefler knows.
2018-03-09 21:28:06 +0000 UTCTefler, your first post of 100-3 seemed disjointed and had a few gaps that made it hard to understand what your trying to tell. But your updates were brilliant, the story flowed much better and filled in the gaps nicely. Thks as always.
2018-03-09 21:17:39 +0000 UTCDD, Got that too! Looking for explanation of this quote; *Did you get everything?* John asked, glancing at Alyssa, who stood nearby. *Yeah, I got it all,* she replied, her eyes glowing with a radiant white light.
2018-03-09 21:05:53 +0000 UTCTefler, at the end of John's duel with Baledranax, was Alyssa placed nearby in the scene to suggest that she needed close proximity to read the Dragon Emperor's mind?
2018-03-09 19:01:47 +0000 UTCSo far as we know up to now is that Progenitors don't have sons & John was the first < which makes him unique , his character & actions the central theme of the story . Why would an immortal tyrant have a son that would only end up challenging him when he controls when , with whom . & the sex of any encounter's issue ? Not logical . Of course we have only a tiny piece of the puzzle so far , but think the statement about "family" was a more general one ., but time will tell.
bigdawguw65
2018-03-09 19:01:42 +0000 UTCKoa, I fully agree... But I still have one niggling critique. Ok, Baledranax launched from his flagship toward the Citadel. He destroyed the super tank, entered the Citadel, killed Buckingham and flew atop the fortress and rained plasma fire down on TF bunkers. After John and the Girls destroyed the flagship and escorts, they fought their way towards the fortress. John saw Baledranax atop the Citadel and moved to engage after saving Gibbons. Before the nullifier was engaged, Alyssa saw John fighting the Emperor. Baledranax was flying in full view of the Girls. His fight with John was high in the air and on the ground. After John slashed his wing, he avoided veering into the firing arc of the Girls' Reapers. In the end, the Reapers brought him down from over a couple of hundred meters in the air. My critique is simply this -- from Baledranax' POV, atop the Citadel and during airborne portions of the duel with John, why did he not see that his flagship and escorts had been destroyed?
2018-03-09 18:28:30 +0000 UTCLove the revision! My faith and respect for John is restored and so is Larn’s!

2018-03-09 18:18:22 +0000 UTCDana needs to design and build some Ground Assault Vehicles. They have engaged in several ground based missions and could use some drone vehicles. Some Hover Tanks and APCs. The Kirrix are going to be rounding up Civilians and they could use some APCs to get into a hot zone and remove Civilians before things get out of control. Would putting a Progen Server in the Raptor and Valkyrie enable Faye to have more Avatars and better reach over any drone units? Could they setup any stealthed comm. satellites for their own discrete network? Or as an advanced warning system? Similar to the X space games, at some point I pop adv. satellites all over the place for total comms coverage. Could Dana, Irillith and Faye program a ship to remotely deploy a stealth comms network. Would be handy in Terran space as a hedge against TFed fuckery. They get out of line send a burst shutdown code turning off all ship engines, shields, weapons, whatever. I think Alyssa will need to "Vet" all the new prospective TFED leadership. Get in their heads and see if they are right for the job. Need to weed out all the bad apples.

This sentence doesn't quite work, needs tweaked slightly. Maybe just the removal of the comma, or insertion of an extra word to make it scan properly. Other than that, great stuff, good changes.
2018-03-09 15:34:55 +0000 UTCExcellet additions to this third, did notice a legacy word left over, He was well a couple of hundred metres into the air when the girls shot him out of the sky I imagine the well can go.

2018-03-09 09:40:41 +0000 UTCTefler, I thought that John had disabled the device at Baledranax’s back by shooting at it. But John said: “I think whatever it was exploded,” he replied, remembering the end of the fight. “Something blew up on Baledranax’s back a second before I got all my powers back. He looked shocked when it detonated.”

2018-03-09 04:31:24 +0000 UTCSomething else to consider, do the Progenitors know that they get more powerful from their network if they get closer to their thralls? Consider that they DO know, and the only reason we don't see it initially is because they are waiting for a specific trait to manifest in their Matriarch. Is it possible that BSP has been waiting all this time (a mere moment in time for an immortal) for Ailanthia to purposefully contradict him, but not just out of anger or spite?

2018-03-08 23:57:35 +0000 UTCExpendable, I got an email for your post, but couldn't find it in the thread to respond to. Commander Wessex is a career-driven woman who loves being in the military and has no interest in settling down at that time in her life. As Alyssa pointed out, her career would end in 5 months to raise a family if she joined the Lionesses, which came as a shock to Wessex (compounding the shock of losing her arm). Wessex was fascinated by the Lionesses as a military unit, but wasn't infatuated with John himself, so being told "Btw this guy you've never spoken to will be knocking you up in 5 months if you join us," wasn't the greatest sales pitch. After speaking to Alyssa, Wessex finally realised that the Lionesses were not the unit that she thought they were. Wessex considered Gibbons to be a friend, but she was so obsessed with the Lionesses, that she hadn't even considered him as anything else. It took the girls pointing out some of his good qualities for her to see him in a different light.

2018-03-08 19:29:56 +0000 UTCTefler, I just re-read the chapter. Awesome. I did notice one paragraph that needs tweaking. "“I think whatever it was exploded,” he replied, remembering the end of the fight. “Something blew up on Baledranax’s back a second before I got all my powers back. He looked shocked when it detonated.”" This was after John shot the purple box and he got his powers back. Later it exploded. Maybe something like "I shot a purple box on Baledranax's back and hit it. Right after that I got my powers back and then it detonated and he looked shocked."

2018-03-08 12:45:11 +0000 UTCI think the sensible thing would be for John, Alyssa and Calara, with Sakura and Tashana on security, to take the Raptor to sort out Hign Command while Dana, Irillith, Jade and Faye (plus others) take the Invictus to Olympus for repairs (new engines and new deck 4 galley) where they're more likely to be amongst friends. John and Alyssa can then sort out the armour before it's off to visit the Kirrix (a trip home to Karron perhaps?) and, since they're out that way, they can carry on to Arcadia.

2018-03-08 09:52:15 +0000 UTCDana is a genius, they've also had superb assistance from several alien races and their facilities to upgrade Invictus. It's been a very long and winding road. Invictus is an experimental hybrid, it has enough special modifications for a flock of Millennium Falcons and if it had a model number it would have more letters ecks in front of it than a Red Light theater district. They gave it a fast weapon and shield upgrade with Eternity Crystals, slammed the access covers shut to lock in freshness and flavor, then crossed their fingers and toes and other appendages and hoped for the best. They immediately ran the interstellar Luge at or above redline from Brimorian space to Olympus, then did it again from Olympus to Terra and put it through the wringer in the battle. It worked! Yay Dana! Yay team! Way to go! Faye has been totally overloaded along with the stress of becoming a real girl. She and her boys are totally amazing but she can't be expected to do everything, they all need to get motivated. The Crew has to walk the ship to help look for damage and help with repairs, then make sure the tachyons are sticking to the tachyon containers and the lids are sealed on the Eternity Crystals After all the backstabbing that's been going around, they should keep the Invictus' shields at full power while wearing their personal armour at all times. They all need to work like crazy to fix Invictus so they can go somewhere less stabby for repairs after they rescue the prisoners at Tartarus.
2018-03-08 09:14:22 +0000 UTCTo date, John has provided the comfort and 'psychiatric' help that the girls have required, even beyond what his telepathic Matriarch was able to discern they needed. Why do you think that this pattern will change and that Rachel will take over that responsibility?
Evan
2018-03-08 06:27:08 +0000 UTCNo, I don't believe so, no.
Evan
2018-03-08 06:25:28 +0000 UTCCole, the 'native' Maliri physique is already extremely close to that of the 'enhanced' Terran girls, which makes sense, given that the entire Maliri race has already been engineered by Mael'nerak to be thrall soldiers. So, the Maliri not only didn't need to physically change all that much, but they've been engineered already to be able to be turned into psychic power sources (thralls) for a Progenitor with minimal additional effort upon the part of the Progenitor in question (Mael'nerak originally, but now John). John, however, isn't establishing the controlling bond with the Maliri, so it's even less effort for him and less time involved to establish the psychic link, even with his complete lack of experience in comparison to a Progenitor such as Mael'nerak, who presumably engineered the entire race. The Terran girls thus require FAR more energy and time to transform and establish bonds to than the Maliri. Now, could John do it faster and more efficiently now than when he first started? Perhaps. Only Tefler can answer that one, of course, but it does make sense that he'd be getting at least a bit better about it, especially as he has a better idea of what's happening and is less conflicted about making it happen.

2018-03-08 05:51:32 +0000 UTCWho says the girls need 2 weeks anymore? John enhance the Maliri assassins to the peak condition that they could be in with just 1 feeding. Rachel regenerated an entire arm in under 5 minutes. Previously, John was changing the girls by instinct. When he thought about what gifts he wanted to give each girl, all he had to do was focus on those changes. I believe that John could give what is normally the 2 week body makeover in just one feeding. In addition, the only reason why it took a full two weeks to give Dana new tech was because there was a self imposed clock. If John just focused on the additional tech he wants to give Dana, that could be done in one feeding as well.

2018-03-08 04:51:09 +0000 UTCDoes anyone believe that LK is really Meal’nerak? Correct me if I am wrong, but. In ancient Malari Meal’nerak translated something close to “ doer of evil deeds” or something along those lines. Bean’theles is “ the righter of wrongs”. No clue to what Larn’Kelnar means. What I am saying is Meal’nerak could have easily changed his name. Let’s say for a second, it is Meal’nerak and he is John’s father, and he is testing/preparing John for something. What would it be?

As a whole chapter 100 battle sequence is a masterpiece, IMHO. As far as how John won the fight with the emperor not being up to your expectations.(I think that is what you are trying to say, forgive me if I’m wrong). I can see how from a certain point of view that agricould be made. However I, for one. Have full trust in a Tefler and firmly believe he very deliberately wrote the fight the way he did. Possible theories based on the information they have: * It had a capacity and it was destroyed when it was overloaded * It worked for only so long and then it burned out * It was destroyed remotely by A. Shot by someone, but it was under a shield so that is unlikely B. Intentionally destroyed by a command
2018-03-08 01:04:21 +0000 UTCThis chapter has to be the worse battle you have written... 1 thing and 1 thing only tanked this chapter and that is how John won the fight.
2018-03-08 00:43:11 +0000 UTCFrom Sajith above - Tefler can you please increase the capabilities of Faye, she was stretched to her limits in this battle. Her server performance needs an upgrade. I think the post battle review will show this deficiency. I think the post battle review will show Jade the consequence of her actions. The Invictus took a beating! I think the post battle review will show Calara was at a disadvantage coming into the battle so late in the game. I think the post battle review will show Irillith will investigate how to use comms beacons and other ship communication platforms to be able to perform cross-galaxy hacking. I think the post battle review will show how powerful Dana's guns really were in the battle. They took down Kintark fighters without holding their aim for four seconds. I think the post battle review will show John is an arrogant ASS at times. I think the post battle review will show Calara and Dana need psychiatric help that Rachel will provide. I think the post battle review will have Dana invent new ways to protect the engines using the eternity crystals. I think the post battle review will have the TFed realize John Blake is an asset to the human race and not an enemy. I think the post battle review will have the team realize that the Paragon armor needs to have better crash protection. John's armor (armour for Tefler) took a beating and it wasn't from multiple hits from Baledranax.

2018-03-07 22:22:31 +0000 UTCTefler can you please increase the capabilities of Faye, she was stretched to her limits in this battle. Her server performance needs an upgrade. Can you let Maliri girl after hacking in through her Progenitor skills force a connection to Invictus for Faye to takeover. Will this not allow John and girls to attack more ships from a distance? Also can you let Dana make an invisible surveillance drone based on cloaked ship to be operated by Faye. Is cybernetic body of Faye lacking in self-defence or it's like cyborg asian assasin?
2018-03-07 22:14:42 +0000 UTCI've been having this discussion on Discord and wanted to bring it here. I firmly believe that the Maliri and Dacres' fleets would be best served by savaging Brimorian shield generators and installing them at Olympus before heading off to fight the Kirrix. Some worry about betray by the TFed, but as Dana has installed failsafes in the Ashanath power cores, I see that as a moot issue. What do you guys think?

2018-03-07 22:05:14 +0000 UTCOne Issue, Rachael has already determined the Kintark didn't evolve naturally, their genome shows signs of tinkering, but not by a Progenitor.
2018-03-07 20:33:31 +0000 UTCInteresting concepts, but if I recall correctly John and the girls were still able to use telepathy at the time, so maybe she ‘muted’ all-chat, what the Ashanath use? Certainly something to explore, now that we are aware of the ability to block physic actions, how will you be able to defend against that?

2018-03-07 19:52:47 +0000 UTCIn early discussions about the physic damper someone mentioned Alyssa's Null Zone incident on their first visit with Ashana . Not sure if they are one & the same thing but it would be interesting for Alyssa to investigate . By accident she established a 2000 meter bubble but if she could learn to control it & it's size & if it's the same it could come in handy . It would be to dangerous to damper a large area in a confrontation with BSP but if she could project an area just around him to rob him of getting energy from his thralls & cutting communications also , could be a game changer . Just wondered what you all thought about the idea .

2018-03-07 18:02:17 +0000 UTCMy thoughts-If lizards are to be taken as reference then strongest male fertilises the egg. Except for few rare species care ends after child birth.Eating children is not a taboo too. Again only in rare case a nuclear family unit structure exist for a short while. So I would like to imagine of a race with clear hierarchial structure, defined roles, elevation in rank by proving your worth, constant danger of violence etc. A world where power is centered in few hands, who expect full loyalty from those below. A world were you can reach the higher level of power only by being strong or by scheming. A world which does not care for its weak and young and don't get much help from society. Those grow in these circumstances naturally prove to be strong and further refine future generations. This natural evolution lead to the Emperor and his brother. How does it look? Acceptable?
2018-03-07 16:54:09 +0000 UTCDawg, Tartarus is a top secret base under the control of the Fleet Admiral. It is definitely linked to the TF communications net, and can receive, like everyone else, the Kintark broadcast of the ground battle. I imagine those in the data flow know much about the status and details of the battle in Sol system and on Terra. What they do not know, as you said, is that Jade has found their lair and that the Invictus will be there in minutes.

2018-03-07 15:27:54 +0000 UTCBaledranax said he honed his fighting skills tussling with his little brother. He also said his healing regeneration of injuries was practiced during this familial combat. What surprised me was his admission that he also received injuries from amorous couplings with Tamolith, who I though was Kindralax' mate. So Baledranax and Tamolith were knocking boots and bumping uglies as she clawed him in her passion? Did this happen before his brother died, or was it an ongoing thing? What does that say for Kintark social and cultural habits and mating behaviors?

2018-03-07 02:31:41 +0000 UTCOne cannot prepare for every eventuality in war. All one can do is prepare the best one can and be prepared to adapt to whatever happens. Who knew there was a psy-nullifier? Not John and the Lionesses. How could they prepared for it? Well...that answers itself. Tashana did use fire-infused rounds against Kintark warriors and Royal Guards. In that regard, against the Kirrix, they did not know about the Behemoths or that Tashana could kill them with fire-infused rounds, which was a Dana speculative fantasy idea. No one can be prepared for every eventuality in war. Those best trained, equipped and resilient tend to adapt and win.
2018-03-07 02:07:50 +0000 UTCI feel that John and the girls were better prepared for the Kirrick battle than this one. Where were the grenades? Where were the backup weapons? They seemed to think nothing could get by their powers... until it did.

2018-03-06 23:55:55 +0000 UTCTefler: This was an amazing end to an amazing chapter. It hits right in the feels to see Dana, Binary, Calara and even the Kintark being in such broken mental states. It's a very hard-hitting chapter that clearly took an immense amount of work to put together! Thank you. It shall be an interesting road to recovery in the future chapters for everyone in the story; for some of the readers who have had friends suffer from mental anguish, that might be the hardest hitting part of all. 2018-03-06 20:00:10 +0000 UTCOk I need clarification & can't see it in the comments anywhere. Was there a 2nd Kintark troop invasion fleet? If so then there are more ships on the way who will no doubt surrender once they realise their leaders have been barbecued. That will give John the opportunity to turn them into allies - maybe reinstating Balrac & co as leaders.
2018-03-06 19:55:37 +0000 UTCThe girls out of range of the device could still use their psychic powers, for example Sakura was still able to freeze her gun. What they lost was the telepathy and the load balancing between them since that's all handled by Alyssa.

2018-03-06 19:23:33 +0000 UTCI have a question to all. In this chapter, when John was in range of psychic suppressor device, Psychic power all his lionesses were said to have been lost. Now few chapters back John had all his lionesses have triple helix DNA with same Progenitor features that he has. If he made all lionesses Progenitor and they gained powers why can't they by themselves be source of Psychic power just like John. Why should John be the only source and create vulnerabilities.Whats the science in story here?
2018-03-06 18:41:52 +0000 UTCI see LK/BSP growing impatient with Johns slow progenitor development- they already expect him to be further along and thus I suspect is the main impetus for the family reunion

2018-03-06 17:57:57 +0000 UTCI equally interested in this device.Powers of John and lionesdes were for being taken for granted making them invulnerable. Its funny device get little attention from John and his team. Dana could have salvaged something out of it.
2018-03-06 17:41:02 +0000 UTCDr.Dadd we need John to grow slowly (another 100 chapter!) to face any enemy.I love John's adversary is well informed and strong. David Vs Goliath just doesn't appeal to me here.

2018-03-06 17:37:18 +0000 UTCHeroes need enemies that challenge them, and require all their resources and creativity to emerge victorious. Weak, easy to defeat enemies are not a challenge and do nothing to enhance the persona of the hero.
2018-03-06 17:15:48 +0000 UTCAh -- but blowing the damper adds all kinds of interesting plot twists. . Now John knows something can dampen their psychic powers and he has to deal with that somehow. I was more disappointed in seeing Binary speaking of resignation and Murphy not trying to dissuade him.
2018-03-06 16:52:48 +0000 UTCI agree and when history suggest Progenitor wants all known species in story to be eliminated for some unknown reason John's approach must be to counter act this.
2018-03-06 16:48:16 +0000 UTCI agree and I don't want John to just one day have equal power and skill as other Progenitor. It will just spoil the fun. We had earlier in the story, in and around when John met Erdale, a lot of skills popping out all of a sudden. Now for a time there has been a lull in new skills getting developed. We have got still time left for a fight. John has to evolve a lot.
2018-03-06 16:44:19 +0000 UTCI just gotta say, I’m really disappointed, dissatisfied and disagree with LK pushing the kill switch on the psychic dampening device. I sure hope this is integral to a future plot line because it just feels wrong! I wanted to see John overcome this obstacle on his own, well with the help of his lionesses but you know what I mean. They could’ve done it too, they had the firepower to take down his shields and with a lucky, well-placed shot taken out the device. But instead we see LK coddling John. Granted we’ve seen some evidence of this before but it’s been indirect I.e. LK issuing an order to his converted Terran thrall (Lynton? forgot her name) to not harm John Blake. It seems evident that LK is testing John and encouraging his progenitor development, one could even call it a training program but with that device and the kill switch it now seems like LK is just toying with John like a puppet master would with his creation. At the very least I’d like to see John muster up at least one more desperate attack and take another hit or two! Am I the only one that feels this way? Of course it’s an awesome story to provoke such strong reactions and everything else in the chapter is so superb, can’t decide on a favorite scene as there’s so many really good ones. Mahalo Tefler!

2018-03-06 15:04:12 +0000 UTCUnlike the warlord led, barbarian Drakkar, that are ruled by their stomachs, the Kintark, do have some redeemable qualities. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I think John will assist them in shoring up their empire, and bring them into the Alliance. The senator and other political prisoners that John rescued from the mines on Xen-Nuchek were quite resistant to the path that their empire had been taken down, and I think that Balrac and friends would be more than willing to work with John. Even Tamolith was more concerned with her own children, than the meddlings of the ruling males in her line. If the Kintark energies and aspirations could be redirected, they would indeed become a strong ally. I understand that the TFed leadership and people might be crying for more blood; however, John's influence with the hopefully, cooler heads that take over, might prevail and be able to give reason to a move in this direction.

2018-03-06 10:46:30 +0000 UTCI have all kinds of questions regarding this device that blocks psychic powers : is its a common device, is it old, can a full fledged Progenitor ignore it, how Mael'Nerk fought this other Progenitor in his time if they had such device, how big is this device, can it be fitted on a common foot soldier ?
2018-03-06 10:41:22 +0000 UTCTefler, I would love to make a special request of you. I have a 12 yo daughter, so of course not going to let her near main story, But she absolutely loved truck stop takedown. I know your busy just keeping us going in main story, and your ebooks. But when you can, could you think of more side stories appropriate for all ages. That way I can continue to share with my daughter. Please and Thank you for any consideration.
2018-03-06 09:30:10 +0000 UTCNot sure about mom's file, I only remember them mentioning they found her alone and pregnant. But given how old Mael'Nerak is and all his research in DNA, it is not outside the realm of possibility that he devoted what he had left of psychic power to keep himself alive until John's mom arrived even without thralls.
2018-03-06 09:22:13 +0000 UTCPoint is could destroy all at one go, but he did not, why wait? Mael'Nerks disappeared long before John was born. All Maliri are 3-4 gen and still older than John. Also John's dad was not shown as a benevolent charector in his mom's file.
2018-03-06 09:13:17 +0000 UTCThe only way to break the bond is to kill the master.
2018-03-06 09:11:57 +0000 UTCMost interesting that you didn't mention the family reunion. Considering he is systematically destroying Mael'Nerak's creations. Also, he seems testing John and waiting for him to be a challenge. Given he is breeding his thralls, in what sounds like a regular occurrence. I can only think that one question has been answered if my hunches are right. That John is distantly related to the twins and his father was Mael'Nerak. Given that it seems Mael'Nerak only breed twice. With Valada, but since they can choose the gender. When crashed, he breed with John's mom knowing that he only fathered daughters with Valada. He needed a son to stand against his enemy.
2018-03-06 09:06:54 +0000 UTCBig question is what is other Progenitor planning? He doesn't want to kill John. It seems like he is preparing John. For me it seems Progenitor is waiting for John to evolve in to something different and this brings back me Progenitor John - alter ego of John which was suppressed some time back. I feel currently John has enough self belief to face up his alter ego and become whole and learn of his ancestry. Its long time we have heard from Progenitor John. It seems John is incomplete with out closure with Progenitor John. I don't know if merging of Athena and Alyssa has something to do with this. Level of disrespect for our hero and his allies from enemy doesn't give confidence. In every story line John is chasing the enemy and he is never there in time. Never has enemy vessel, drone or any other technology of Progenitor been challenged by John or his lionesses. So unlike many fans of John I think he is long way away from being a challenger to other Progenitor unless something changes drastically. If he all of a sudden grow into a equally strong Progenitor, I feel it will not look good. John and lionesses have a long long way to go. They have not even earned the respect of enemy. In this chapter a device was used to suppress John's power. No if you can suppress why can't you amplify the same power? So then again John or lionesses doesn't even understand the origin of their power. In all the stories its just their with John as origin or a conduit. The suppression of power shows there is more to it. John and lionesses are shown talking about the incident and their experience of power getting suppressed but then again leaving with out collecting device which did that? With command and control of Terran federation destroyed it will be impossible for John to leave terra. If he does not reflect well.Even if he is not present directly he needs to appoint some one who will work on his behalf. But to think one person say Charles alone can run Terran federation seems a stretch. Council of Admirals have to reformed, war crimes punished, new defence structures mad, new ships are to be made.. Terran also need to make alliance with other species. Every one here want to annex Kintark empire but why not form an alliance which removes any possibility of other Progenitor intervening again. With grand alliance possibility of violence is decreasing and need to do away with proxies by Progenitor is increasing.
2018-03-06 08:47:16 +0000 UTCThe Damocles was part of one of the fleets too far away to actually help with the battle. The Fleet Admiral still recalled all fleets tho because he was anticipating a mop up operation and push into Kintark space afterwards.
2018-03-06 08:16:35 +0000 UTCGreat chapter Tefler. It does however have me re-listening from chapter 97 to current. My perplexity is that there has been no mention of the Damacles, since the call to Calara's mom. Not remembering any mention in battle pre Invictus arrival, then Calara was in command and she would of noticed her dad's ship. Now their moving to Jupiter and still no mention. If the Damacles was there then I would think some scene with it, or Calara noticing it. I am Soo perplexed.

2018-03-06 07:45:06 +0000 UTCYes, the Kintark empire is toast and barring a spontaneous change of heart and leadership, the Brimorian Enclave will likely be right behind it. The Enshunu got the control rod for an old pira^H^H^H^Hindependent filling station that was probably almost out of high-test rocket fuel anyway. What could possibly go wrong?
2018-03-06 07:02:18 +0000 UTCand so begins the wait again. Great chapter
2018-03-06 06:44:52 +0000 UTCAftermath thoughts: Independent of John's actions, the TFed WILL now get the Brimorian shield tech - at least in limited quantities as they will get it on the wrecked and surrendered Kintark vessels. The Kintark Empire is about to get overrun - from multiiple directions - all they can possibly have left is newly built hulls that weren't ready in time, some other ships from the far borders of their empire who could not physically make it in time to participate in the invasion armada. ...and now John/Alyssa will know it too. So, expansions of the Terran, Maliri, Brimorian (until John comes a-callin' on them again) empires into Kintark space - to say nothing of the Enushu(sp?)/other on the far side towards the unclaimed wastes, etc.

Ch1 leading spaces before “Chapter”, ch29 missing space after “-“, ch80-83-84-85-86-92-93-94-95-96-98 use of “: “ rather than “ - “. It is difficult to see as Kindle compresses some spaces, but it seems as if some chapters could have more than one space surrounding the “-“.

Hope that they might know of other Nymphs belonging to the rich & famous , they probably travel/entertain in the same social circles . Can see the infomercial by John asking for help , please , any one with information please call this Number , & this lovely Lady next to me is Lioness Jade , if you voluntarily return your Nymph there will be no questions ask or any publicity & you'll be compensated , if not & we find them , Jade will be coming for them & you ..Jade goes 600 lb. I can't decide if Irillith killed Melkadian when she apparated on the Hera and zapped him or if she just zapped him and his leisure suit long enough to die slowly from the burns, organ failure and sepsis.
2018-03-06 05:49:11 +0000 UTCI don't think it's going to as big of an impact as it was before. It is a very similar case where John and his crew were not trusted (seen as an enemy) so they didn't get all the information and weren't informed earlier.

2018-03-06 03:37:59 +0000 UTCOH MY GOSH!!! What is this story doing to my life!!! Of course this chapter is released before I have to go to work so I’m already anxious all day reading bits and pieces every chance i get - but the scene with Baledranax battering John around is just too much - I had to stop reading to catch my breath, so intense!!! Tefler I give you props again - so masterful the scene jumps and build-up of anticipation and how you make it so real - the portrayal of emotions I.e. Dana’s remorse after her devastating stunt, so unexpected and yet it fits so well - how you keep us guessing is just so amazing. I fancy in my mind that I could be a decent writer and keep up with you on most aspects of a story like this but the plot twists you come up with are just a league above what I could imagine, to me that and the emotional involvement is what makes this story an epic and there are very few stories I’ve read ( and I’ve read a lot) that I can say that about! Mahalo nui loa. Ok now to jump back in!

2018-03-06 03:36:54 +0000 UTCI thought Jade's introspection about how much she has forgotten and how much she wants to reestablishing her connection with her sisters was a poignant insight into her character. 2018-03-06 03:13:31 +0000 UTCI Hope you are right, Dawg. The TF will need all the skills and training from experienced survivors that they can get. Binary is conscientious, but rattled by guilt at the loss of his wingmen. His friend Murphy may be able to help him put that experience in perspective, and with his awareness of what it takes to survive, he could be an ace Claymore training instructor.
2018-03-06 03:11:01 +0000 UTCLots of outstanding scenes , some heart breaking (Mishra's death) some heart warming (Gibbons/Wessex) some just funny ( Dana's message to Sakura ) some thrilling (most of the battle scenes but most of all John's fight with Baldranax) but my favorites were Irillith 's mental torture of Melkadian & John's of Baldranax about their failures . But the most shocking & completely out of left field was Ailathia's blow up & SLAP!! & Larn'kelnar reaction never saw that coming .

2018-03-06 01:42:27 +0000 UTC“The Kintark pilots were so busy looking for a strike craft threat, they were totally unprepared for the bright burst of azure laser bolts that came from the Sharan’tohok. Rachel hammered them with a stream of laser fire from her Reaper Cannon, the Paragon armour’s target tracking making it easy for her to lead the fast-moving ships with her targeting reticle. Even though the ships were all shielded, that provided little protection against the deadly support weapon, and all three were blown out of the sky in rapid succession.” Okay....so the Reaper cannon took out the shields of a Kintark fighter almost instantly. Now the Claymores, with six Gatling Lasers sporting improved heat sinks and Ashanath power cores, take 4 seconds to pop the shields. That means the Reaper Cannons now have 6 x 4 or 24 times the firepower of an IMPROVED Terran Gatling Laser in a hand held squad weapon. The two now on the battlefield have more firepower than a Terran Cruiser has in point defense weapons! Better yet! “Each shot was nearly as potent as a ship-based Laser Cannon blast, but the Reaper Cannons were firing without pause, leaving little more than smouldering piles of glowing limbs in their wake.” Also: There is no mention of Dana turning the mines from inert to ert...T-Fed never activated them. “Faye banked the Raptor, and the sparkling white bride went hunting for an unsuspecting Kintark groom.” Yep....that about sums it up! LMAO! “This chassis’ responses will remain limited until ‘the shit stops hitting the fan’.“ “ Hill Freakin Larious! “while attempting to protect the dreadnought from counterattack by over a hundred Kintark cruisers. The Imperial ships were taking by far the worst of the exchange, losing vessels in droves to the sprite’s enthusiastic shooting. Despite Faye’s best efforts to dodge the bulk of the incoming fire, the standoff was starting to take a heavy toll on the Invictus’ shields. “ So the Invictus can go head to head in a knock down/drag out brawl with over 100 Cruisers with Brimorian shield tech? Grins...I need a cold shower. “She was shocked to realise she couldn’t hear anything from her lover. Whatever was blocking their psychic abilities also seemed to be blocking her telepathy with John too.” So much for using telepaths for coms during the battle with BSP.

2018-03-06 00:58:46 +0000 UTCIf Baledranax thought his personal victories would send a debilitation psychological shockwave throughout the TFed and make humans surrender to him, the converse seems to also be true. John's defeat of the Emperor and the evidence of his broken, smoldering carcas on the battlefield, when they believed him to be immortal, seems to have sent a profound emotional shockwave through the Kintark, convincing them to quit the battle and surrender.
2018-03-06 00:54:44 +0000 UTC160 Comments! I'm not touching the commas. [Suggestion Box] Pausing to study the assassin and her paragon suited[Paragon-suited] compatriot, Lilyana could see that the pair were agitated and restless. [Do the Cannons require batteries or are they included?] Further forward of that position were row after row of Heavy Plasma Cannons batteries, the very same weapons that had caused such terrible damage to the Shiva and had slain Admiral Mishra. In her peripheral vision, a huge wall of green seemed to suddenly rush towards her, and she snapped her attention back to the[remove extra space] battlecarrier Sharan'tohok just in time to arrest her fall. The flaming tornado roared with a[an] unquenchable hunger, then scorched its way through the Kintark ranks, sucking terrified troopers into its hellish maw. The high-pitched whir of Gibbon's[Gibbons'] Gatling Laser competed to be heard over the cacophony of noise engulfing the battlefield. The psychic blastwave rushed outwards, hurling scores of soldiers through the air and clearing a thirty metre[thirty-metre] space around his position. ["Your wing have sustained" Maliri to T-Fed syntax?] Your wing have sustained damage... exposing yourselves to further danger is unnecessary." [Did they really stop for a chat?] Without another word they closed down the call, the trio of Maliri strike craft rushing after the next wing of Kintark fighters. [The Valkyrie has shoulders, the Raptor? A Treatise on the Stability of Ships By Edward James Reed Page 64 Mr. Scott Russell's definition was this: "The shoulder of a ship is that part which, being under water when the ship leans over one way, is then left bare, out of the water, when she leans as far over the other way."] Pulsed azure beams scythed through the ranks, the gunship's twin shoulder-mounted weapons annihilating the first four wings in a matter of seconds. [A few actually got alarmingly close, A few had actually gotten alarmingly close, A few had actually come alarmingly close,] A few had actually got alarmingly close, but Tashana had managed to put them down with well-placed Quantum slugs, showering the battlefield with flaming hunks of roasted reptile. [Is it crystal Alyssium or crystal Alyssium?] His razor-sharp crystal[Crystal] Alyssium sword sliced through the scaly membrane, tearing a jagged rip right the way through the wing. [It must be the yellow sun. There are 29 instances of the word 'armour' and many of them have lost their hyphens] Barking curt orders at the Maliri who had formed a firing line at the battlements, the two white armoured[white-armoured] women prowled along the fortifications, overseeing the battle. Whirling around, Baledranax searched the sky for his foe, sharp eyes spotting the white armoured[white-armoured] figure as he plummeted towards the ground. He slammed his crystal[Crystal] Alyssium sword into the black armour protecting the back of Baledranax's hand, the blade shrieking as it cleaved through the thick metallic plating. The Emperor tried to skitter backwards, holding itself[himself] upright with its[his] left forelimb, the right raised defensively to protect his face from those ethereal flames. "There's[There are or There're] already too many genocidal maniacs running around the galaxy, and unlike my mother, there's no way back for you..." [It's almost oozing invisibility] That left several dozen tiny moons, any of which could feasibly house some kind of secrete[secret] base, so Jade eventually came to the conclusion that this seemed like their most plausible destination. "Perfect, thank honey,"["Perfect. Thanks, honey,"] John said gratefully as they rounded the corner of the Citadel. [More of that yellow sunlight] John felt his stomach lurch when he spotted a couple of golden-armoured Maliri soldiers slumped amongst the injured, with a white armoured[white-armoured] woman standing protectively over them. "There's[There are or There're] a lot more people still in danger though. Our main priority is to turn around the fleets that have left the Kirrix border and send them reinforcements." Approaching the open hangar was especially tricky as even the slightest over correction[overcorrection] meant having to invert the Claymore to nudge the nose back into the right direction. [There are 27 instances of lioness/lionesses. They're not really lions, shouldn't proper nouns be capitalized?] He had forgotten all about the lioness[Lioness] in the frenzied dogfight that followed, but Halifax had talked about what Dana had actually done as the five Claymores returned to the Zeus. Maybe when they were a bit older, they'd see what it was like to have their dreams ruined... they wouldn't be so exuberant than[then]. "This won't hurt a bit," Rachel said quietly, her grey eyes starting to glowing[glow] with a soft light.
2018-03-06 00:50:35 +0000 UTCCalara, like after the Battle Ashana, is deeply depressed and troubled, knowing that if she had more information and time, she could have greatly reduced the volume of losses and saved many lives on both sides. John will remind her that despite these failures, mostly on the part of the Admiralty and others, she was able to orchestrate and achieve a brilliant victory against impossible odds -- and for the fourth time, she saved a civilization from destruction, genocidaires and extinction..
2018-03-06 00:38:36 +0000 UTCDana's remorse at the death of thousands of Kintark is emotionally jagged, and John will have to reassure her despair about the blood on her hands.

2018-03-06 00:03:56 +0000 UTCThere was one small disconnect for me, which was that after John slew Baledranax, it felt like the battle was over, without explaining how the remaining fanatical Kintark troops suddenly gave up. (But Level 10 Awesome Story Teller is surely just a few XP away!)

2018-03-05 23:37:41 +0000 UTCIndeed! There were a lot of loose ends tied up with this one... I mean... NOOO! WE NEED MORE SUBPLOTS! IT'S THE BEGINNING OF THE END! IT CAN'T BE!

2018-03-05 23:37:39 +0000 UTCLarn’kelnar's strategy for conquest in this stellar region seems to be to destroy or destabilize the existing empires as military threats or challenges as a prelude to bringing his fleets to bear for final victory.

2018-03-05 23:21:05 +0000 UTCWell well BSP ( now known as Larn’kelnar ) is becoming an interesting character thats for sure. Psychic powers blocking device interesting. But that slap was the highlight for me, “Fuck you!” and slap !

2018-03-05 23:13:16 +0000 UTCAilanthia said she had been with Larn’kelnar for 4,000 years; which does not mean she is his first or only matriarch, nor clarify BSP's age.
2018-03-05 23:07:47 +0000 UTCAnd we have a name... Jade going it alone... BSP plans for Brimorians and Maliri... it’s getting messy!

2018-03-05 22:55:01 +0000 UTCAilanthia's emotional outburst and slap was a big surprise. Maybe Progen mental control of their Matriarchs and thralls is not as strong as we thought. It reminds me that when PJ left the Invictus to confront Edraele, Irillith and Alyssa broke his conditioning, left the ship against his orders and helped to rescue John.
2018-03-05 22:53:49 +0000 UTCThanks for all the feedback everyone, I'm delighted you enjoyed the last part of the battle! It was very satisfying to wrap up a bunch of sub-plots that had been ongoing for a while now. :-)

Not sure if you have seen any of these typos posted yet, but here they are anyway. Middle of Page 48: "house some kind of secrete base"; End of Page 48: "We'll catch them up." Is this English for "We'll catch up with them"? Top of Page 49: "Perfect, thank honey" (I think we're missing a "you". Just a few minor ones.

2018-03-05 21:29:34 +0000 UTCI suspect it is very much a family of sorts. Uncles, brothers, etc. Think about a bunch of Vikings learning to fight and keeping each other sharp. I honestly think this whole thing is an evolutionary test for new immortals...

2018-03-05 20:40:47 +0000 UTCCurious to know what BSP was thinking here, “Get up, you fool! Fight back before it’s too late!”. He certainly knew John didn't have his Psychic powers. In addition he had seen him get smacked around pretty good. So what did he expect John to be able to do in that situation? Could John have power(s) that don't rely on Psychic ability? What exactly did he expect John to do without Psychic abilities? Does it all tie back to Dark John still being chained and unconquered? Bah, Tefler write faster I need to know ;-p

2018-03-05 19:17:01 +0000 UTC*HEADLINE NEWS!* 1: BSP = Larn’kelnar - and the clues indicate that he may be about 4000 years old (could he be John's father?). 2: There exists a TECHNOLOGY to dampen psychic abilities and Astral communications! Dana MUST be given the opportunity to do a post-mortem on Kindralax's armour-suit/technology. Even the wreckage of such technology could provide some key insights for Dana to jump-start a reverse-engineering effort. Reason: If a technology to dampen/eliminate those abilities exists - there should also be a possibility of technology to enhance - or even create afresh - such abilities in others! How do these possibilities strike you: 1) Vastly increasing the psychic power reservoirs for everyone based upon (converted) ship/power core technology? 2) Granting psychic powers/communications to non-Progenitor personnel (i.e. Commander Wessex for example)? 3) Giving Faye/AIs the chance to link in to psychic power/communications directly (talk about making her a "real girl"!) ? ...those are just a few off-the-cuff possibilities to emerge from this news! 3: Larn’kelnar himself hit the button to blow up that technology so that Kindralax couldn't finish off John. (Did he feel that the idea of allowing a "lesser species like a Kintark to kill a Progenitor was too undignified to stomach? ...or was it something else?) Tefler: yet another cliffhanger!??!!?? Grrr!!.... ;-) Awesome job on the battle sequences and Dana's variant of the Galaxy Quest trick...(final thought on that is that there were 2 minefields laid out prior to the start of the battle... it makes logical sense from a distance/time perspective that she didn't gather both of the minefields' mines together for that sledgehammer blow on the Kintark carrier fleet).

2018-03-05 19:16:44 +0000 UTCThat is one confrontation that I can’t wait to see! So much information about progenators that we don’t currently know. Which means it can take so many different paths foreward. Very good 100th!
2018-03-05 19:06:17 +0000 UTCIt seems (on an educated guess here) that the problem surrounds the process of editing a post once it has been posted. I'm guessing here that the Patreon message-posting software is subject to intermittent failures in the message editing process where the edited message can get deleted entirely upon a failure in the process of updating the database. I'm making that guess solely on a diagnosis of behavioral symptoms - so y'all may need to watch out for that possibility. If your experience mirrors mine, please drop me a note, and I'll pass this on to the Patreon folks as a possible bug report in their software.

2018-03-05 19:00:43 +0000 UTCSo many great things in chapter & sad ones . Although you can't have battles without casualties it's hard to really feel joy with so many good people dying along with those that earned it which I think is what's troubling Calara & Dana , long talk with John coming up . Glad Irillith got a chance to make Melkadian suffer , even though I doubt John will allow that to happen , no need for him to know . & Matriarch slapping her Master...AWESOME!!! Well we now know for certain BSP isn't Mael but will be interesting about how Progenitors define family .

2018-03-05 17:13:24 +0000 UTCI don't think I can handle these cliffhangers. The resolution of the last and the torment of each new cliffhanger is a rollercoaster I fear will be the end of me! But like any addict, though I know the dangers I will forever read on wilfully pulling myself deeper into the story. Brilliantly written battle sequences, emotional tales of new love and powerful character development, this chapter had it all. Thanks Tefler.
