Ok guys, Tefler never does anything without a reason, right? What do you think the reason for this poll is? Could it be to distract us from guessing the story plot? Under chapter 98 and 99 combined, we are close to 1000 posts, congratulations. Some should be accurate. Time will tell. Could it be to get a sense of who we like as our favorite female characters as posted? The question is why. Did he post the poll to get a sounding as to where our likes are, so he could concentrate on the lower rated characters in the following chapters to bring them up to the Dana / Alyssa level? If so what would he do to enhance Carla, Rachel, Sakura and the twins for the main crew? Is he seeing what we like so when he introduces new female characters he can tap into our favorites to make sure they are liked? All of the above? None of the above?

Gotta go with Dana, Jade, and the twins. Their backstories and personalities give them the edge for me. I also believe these ladies will be doing the most to progress the plot in the near future. They are all great characters though!

Alyssa is not only unique...she compliments John as no other and sets the tone!!!

I thought about a favorite and at first, my reaction was it is impossible to choose. Then, I decided to appreciate each one. Turns out my very first knee-jerk reaction ended up being my choice. Dana is in a class by herself. Abandoned...unloved...spurned...disfigured...alone...trying to survive just to have enough to eat! She is initially injured trying to fix something to help others...then she teaches herself a skill...tries to make a small place for herself...befriends Alyssa and for the first time she is not alone...then when Alyssa is in danger suggests an escape even though she is again alone....makes the most of what she has! She is fiercely independent, in-your-face honest, marvels at the simplest pleasures of life, is saucy-sexy-sensual, appreciates what she has and CARES!!!! So much for my "two cents"...LOL!!!

Gonna have to give my love to Rachel. I seriously find her overall personality of intellect, wit, compassion and passion. To be a powerfully seductive force. Wrap that up in her defistating good looks and it an incredible combination. But honestly. Any desernable difference between the girls is by the slimmest of margins. They are all incredible characters.

I think some of the numbers we are seeing shows that we haven't had time to get to know some of the girls as well as the others. That's the only way I could choose.

Eh, I wouldn't say crazy is bad as long as it can be controlled and isn't constant. Still, Rachel IS one of my favorites. I just like how Dana is nearly as smart but has almost no inhibitions or filters.

This is a hard choice, I voted for Jade but it was a tossup between Jade and Faye. Both are strong developing characters. I assume the sheer number of main characters makes it very hard to juggle plot lines without giving some short shift. Perhaps that's why the plot complications keep John and the girls bouncing around space like a pinball without ever accomplishing much. They always seem to have another fire to put out somewhere.

I love how perceptive Maria Fernandez is and how she became the template for the new Edraele. That gave the twins a mother worthy of their love and John a fantasy blue replacement. It also gives the Maliri a Queen worthy of their reverence, the young Matriarchs a role model, etc., In short, she becomes the replacement mother for all the broken little birds.

I just really want so see some mother/daughter stuff with Calara and Maria or Edraele and her daughters...

I voted for Alyssa, but have to mention that I think lately, chapters-wise, that Clara has really gotten pretty short shrift in the overall storyline. This is doubly-so in consideration of her gifting. Temporal foresight/temporal projections is the gift that has no limit in terms of situations where it is applicable, and as a whole, it is being severely under-utilized/under-leveraged.

Faye's got my vote. She seems rather underappreciated considering everything she does for the crew. Maybe now that she's got a body, that'll change?

Calara has always been my favorite of the girls. I view Alyssa and John as a unit, so to me Calara was the first to join the unit. I have a thing for sexy, busty Latinas, probably why I married one. I also like Calara's back story the best, with her family.

I decided to avoid the Lionesses since you have the other poll up and focus on the other characters. When I did, Maria jumped out at me. I love the scenes when the crew visits her in Jericho, and I like that her influence is a key part of the story even when she isn't around. Using her as a template for Edraele's new personality adds for some interesting layers, and I like how she both represents an ideal for John and also gives him a level of emotional support that he doesn't really get from the girls on his crew.

I think its time for a girl with dedicated cat ears, unlike jades true form with only shows up a few times.

I love the way Jade has grown as an individual, Dana's swearing and imaginative vocabulary always give me a chuckle, and now that Faye has a "Real" body i am very much looking forward to her interacting with other people/beings in the real world and the awkward situations that could arise from her lack of social interactions with a physical presence so far. P.S Thanks for the shout out Tefler :)
