900 Patrons!

I'm amazed to see the Patron numbers continue to climb, and it's great to see so many people have been enjoying the story enough to join the site!

To everyone who has recently joined, I hope you liked the recent Invictus diagrams and loadout discussions. I think that based on the feedback I've received from Patrons, getting a professional artist to create some blueprints of the Invictus would be something a lot of people would be interested in seeing!

I've handed over the first part of Chapter 76 to my editors (15k words), and I'll crack on with part 2 today... At least, once I sort out a new keyboard! The old one finally gave up the ghost and the "b" key has stopped working. :-(

Microsoft comfort curve keyboard, I salute you. You faithfully delivered over 1.5 million words without complaint. A man couldn't ask for a more faithful input device.

Invictus fires an all gun salute...

(Maybe I should actually stop writing for a moment, and take a second to buy that new computer I was talking about months ago!)

Congrats on your success. If your still looking for an artist, I have been doing illustrations for writers as of late here on Patreon. Fantasy, sci fi, and horror. Check me out, I'm affordable and fast working. Always looking for the next commission, and, like my pop always said, doesn't hurt to ask. Cheers.

Got'em back yet? With a push the "lost brigade" could get us over the 1000 mark

Wookey

Looks as though the previous rate of 10-14 days per 100, is blowing out to 30 days. Have we reached a flatline of ~1000 Tefler-ites?

Wookey

Only 1 person actually cancelled, the rest are still in a declined state. They'll probably get sorted out in the next week or so.

Tefler

951 and $1551... so only 40-60% came back. Their loss when a sensational Ch 78 comes out next Wednesday

Wookey

There were 47 card declines. Most of them usually get sorted out in a week or so. :-)

Tefler

Back to 933 and $1533 - another grind back up. Sooo close then we lost momentum.

Wookey

Back down to 920. Sad face

Wookey

Hey Tefler, I know that patrons can put a cap on the number of times per month that they pledge, so how much money are you getting for your second and third chapters? Will you be increasing to do four a month?!? PLEASE DO, and if we're not paying you enough (in number of pledges per month) for that level of effort, Let Us Know!

7OO Tnega Terces

back up to JK's $1.65/Patron

Wookey

950 and $1570 broken

Wookey

Looks as though Tefler will cross 950 Patrons within 24 hours and possibly $1600/month by 1 May.

Wookey

The best keyboard by far is the Kinesis Advantage. Sure it's $300 but trust me it will be your best investment and your hands will thank you. I have some wrist issues and the Kinesis keyboard is just a joy to use. It has a bit of a learning curb but once you get past that you will wonder why any other keyboards are used.

923 Patrons combined for $1544 per chapter. That comes out to an average of $1.67 per Patron. Oddly enough, we've maintained that average for a couple weeks now. We did have a high of $1.75 either in March or February, I'm not sure which. It's a shame we haven't gone higher than that.

Thanks, Victor. I saw the earlier post about ten seconds after I posted this originally. After I finish with school in a couple of weeks, I'll have time for side projects like this and see what I can come up with in SolidWorks.

Definitely, he stated so in some earlier post or comment

917 Patrons and $1539 today..... can't wait till chapter 76, pops Tefler over 1000 and $1600

Wookey

DC, it has been Easter so he's probably drinking pints at the local for a few days. Give the man a holiday. Working full-time and writing amost full-time is a big gig.

Wookey

3 days later Tefler's at $1530 and 912. We are moving very nicely. Suspect the reaction towards an excellent Ch 75 on Lieterotica and Stories Online has helped drive traffic.

Wookey

Tefler, would you be interested in 3D models at some point?

ETNSosa

Teflers , did you get the new keyboard and/or new computer? Any updates on the chapter would also be appreciated? Thks for all you do!

So Tef, What's the progress for the writing? Feels like the pace got slowed down past week. Either ways, let us know.

Patron numbers are going up 5/day and almost $9/day. At this rate we will be at $1600 and 1000 by early May. Woo hoo.

Wookey

Are you writing on a desktop? I'd love to help you build your own pc... Save lots of mula!

and how many words now for Chapter 76?

Wookey

you two should mail about this, that works better ;)

Hey Charles, I'm looking to build a decent gaming rig with a dual-screen monitor setup, so I really appreciate the offer, but that would be way too expensive! I'm also based in the UK, so if you are US based, then we'd run into issues with Duty charges etc. :-(

Tefler

Tefler you keep writing and let me know what type of computer you are looking for and i will build you one and you will not need one for a while to come. let me know the specs and I will mail you one. I love your stories and hate when I writer gives up in a middle or go on long periods of absence. I build computers for a living and will gladly seen you one and not cost that how much I enjoy reading your stories. It is not just a sex story it is a book :). keep up the good work. Just let me know what you think. " as long as you do not ask for a VR machine lol"

1.5 million words should be almost 10,000 clicks on the letter B that's not bad really

Congrats!

Dunno if you want another just like it Tefler or something akin to it but there are these: https://goo.gl/Zzu50L. Congrats on your goal and feel free to drop a line if you have any pc questions :)

Yup. I won't mess with a pre-built PC these days unless it's made from off-the-shelf components from a local mom-and-pop outfit (I go the mom-and-pop store route because even though I can build my own, I like supporting local businesses, and the cost increase is marginal). Dell and all the big names are great for people who treat comps as throwaway machines, but if you want true longevity, scratch-built is the only way to go.

Lord Winter

Congrats! Amazing achievement.

I'll take May 8!!!!

Brian Sutton

I would think about a military hardened keyboard, you have been giving the one you have a workout!

Congrats, as I said on 800 you should think of ways to celebrate 1000 !

Congratulations and many more to come. Tefler, you will hit 1000 and higher yet.

He uses Google drive... So the important documents are already backed it...

Put me down for May, 15th.

Anthony Kester

903 for $1,511! Congratulations, Tefler!

Evan

I'll take 5/1/2017

1000 here we come. Am betting 5 May.anyone else have a view?

Wookey

When was the last time you dusted your keyboard, Tef? Turn it upside down, tap it on the desk a few times, and see how many crumbs fall out. Then use a can of compressed air to dislodge the rest. That should hopefully get you through the rest of the day. Last thing we want you to do is to stop writing, even for a moment. It pains us knowing you have to take time away from writing to go to work or get some sleep. However, if you already have the new computer picked out and all you have to do is click the "Buy now" button, I think we can handle the delay that would cause in getting the new chapter done.

Jedi Khan

um...I was just trying to figure out if you had done that on purpose, and if so, what the hell you're trying to say. lol

Jedi Khan

what happened with my message?

When you do go for your new PC, assuming you feel comfortable doing so, i would highly recommend buying the parts and building it yourself, rather than buying a pre-built one. You would end up with a much better PC for less money.

Byroz

Just be sure to back everything up dont want to lose all that hard work

Not much beats the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 for writing comfort. I've been using it for almost 15 years now (granted, I'm on my third...) and it has gotten me through about 2.8 million lines of code. (Not counting anything else I've written on it over the years.)

ElminsterAU

Get yourself a top of the line model tefler treat yourself for all the hard work you've been doing I think all of us agree you deserve it.
