Blue prints might be a but much. I guess it is a long term good but pictures from a distance I think would be far easier. I could draw a nice house from the outside, but making it work is far harder.

While it would be nice to see the crew's sexual antics, it would be nicer to focus on the areas that don't receive as much attention. Which is why I that what would be actually really interesting is for first of all to have the ships initially released as Blueprints and then an action/ story scene shot of them (For example, Blueprint of Fool's Gold, followed by a shot of Fool's Gold closing in on the Pirate's ship where they first meet Calara, next I would have the blueprint of the Invictus before and after the initial refit (changing from military to trader/mercenary vessel) and so on and so forth). I would also say the same for the portraits of the girls with a before/after picture to start off with. What would actually be great is if you worked with the artists to such a degree that you worked the pictures into the story; possible story tie in would be that a conglomerate of galactic artists got together and put together a package of pictures together to celebrate the crew of the Invictus' achievements and a small token of gratitude.

Folks, Tefler cannot stop working at 1500 because a lot of those donations have a monthly limit so while it may be $1500 for the first chapter it may very well only be $500 for the second and third chapters. He needs consistent $4,500 months or better to really meet his goal. But yes, congrats are due. ESPECIALLY when he originally thought he would only get a dozen or so Patrons.

One of the things I enjoy so much about 3sm is that John could be 'Godlike' but instead he supports the girls and comes off as a more down to earth 'human.' The girls are not the classic bimbo and John does not want bimbos. Nor does he slave/sell/demean/prostitute out the women in the story. He views them like a family. To show the SFW casual/selfie/armor/ship in a way that honors John's choices in turn honors the spirit of the story. Family shots. Silly, playful, fun, even a bit sexy in a way that is respectful. To show the NSFW side would be fun but would have to be done very carefully lest you loose a lot of what makes 3sm special. You can tell from this how I voted :P

Oh-oh! Here's an idea! Do a movie poster style piece featuring John, the girls, the Invictus, the Progenitor Black Ship, etc.! The old Star Wars movie posters would be pretty neat to use as inspiration.

If we're talking stuff that will actually be posted on the site for "public" viewing, I'd go with the top three. The fourth option, the NSFW pics, I would suggest not posting to the site itself, because I check here quite a bit from work, like I'm sure others do, and well...NSFW is an appropriate acronym. For the NSFW stuff, I would suggest sending it privately to the patrons as a reward or something. So, with that disclaimer out of the way, while portraits of the characters and ships would be nice, it would also be pretty cool to get some action scenes done up, like John and Clara/Sakura sparring, the Invictus in action, the fight against Kindralax, that sort of thing.

No option for "all of the above"? Seriously though, there are a few ideas for art commissions that I've been thinking would be cool to see for a while now: First, is full art pieces of the girls in their "natural environments", Dana in the engineering bay, Faye on the bridge, Calara in the gym, Jade in the pool, etc. SFW or NSFW would depend on the character and setting - Dana or Irillith would presumably be wearing clothes while pursuing their interests, while Jade in the pool or Faye hanging around the bridge would likely be nude. Still, these would probably be relatively tasteful even if there's nudity. The point is to show the characters as themselves, not to be porn. If it helps keep commissions affordable, I could also see these done with pairs instead of individual girls - Dana &amp; Rachel hanging out, Irillith &amp; Faye on the bridge, Calara &amp; Sakura sparring, etc. Second, would be a full spread of all the girls nude on the big bed together, arranged according to seniority, the way they generally arrange themselves for sleeping around John. Third, some proper schematics for the Invictus &amp; Raptor with full deck plans would be really nice to have as a reference.

I voted for the NSFW, but not necessarily sex pics...more like sexy, tasteful art, more like aircraft nose art or Olivia nudes would be nice. Also pics of the alien races would be great, or action art of the team at work (Invictus bridge during a battle or John with his sword) would be really cool.

Have you reached your goal of making enough from pledges to quit work and writing full time? If not then don't spend the money paying for any artwork. While many (if not most) of us would prefer your words over the art, it would be nice to have your visions or the characters represented.

I agree with the majority of respondants here... Ships, Armored and unarmored character pics, but keep the adult material for the story.

Some NSFW work that would be great would be Dana's first roleplay as cheerleader (especially the aftermath). And Calara's first loss in the gym with John (chapter 25 if I'm recalling it correctly).
