I have read through all of it three times so far and probably will do so at least two more times. Its been a long time since I've found a book that i want to do that with.

Well being EST you only have 5 hrs till quitting time. It is now 5 pm in the UK so Tefler is getting home from work possibly and will be adding the final touches to 71. In the past I have received chapters around 1200 PST or 8pm UK time.

You are correct and the galaxy is vaste. There is also more than one galaxy and more than one dimension. Since we know so little, Tefler has free range and we can only guess what it means.

You know, I am hoping that we finally find out *something* about the Progenitors... and even that is a funny wish, because according to what we know so far, there has been only one in all of known space and history, at least, up until recently. We know of the one called Maelnerak. We know of the one presumed to have been found by John's mother. We know of the one presumed to be making trouble in the current timeframe in the local region of space. And yes, we know that these may all be the same individual... or they may not. We know of John and we know of Alyssa. But what do we really know of Progenitors? Our exposure to date is like trying to determine what an average modern Dane is like based upon a study of Jack the Ripper... or an American Indian in 1400 or an Australian Aborigine in 1600. Please note that I'm not saying that our known (not including John and/or Alyssa) Progenitor(s) is unique. I'm simply saying that we lack any and all information SO FAR to make any accurate determinations with regards to the people as a whole... or even if there is a whole. We don't know where they are from. We don't know what their lifecycle is. We don't know what their culture is like. We don't know how they interact in groups. We don't know if they pass knowledge along in any way other than genetically. We don't know what their capabilities are throughout their lifecycle. Perhaps 'Progenitor John' is simply a highly evolved example of 'instinct' as manifested in humans, suitable for keeping him alive if not in a (Progenitor-)socialized environment. Perhaps John is simply the Progenitor-equivalent of a human 'wild-child'.... Perhaps Maelnerak is, too? My point is that we *know* almost nothing of consequence whatsoever, yet, regarding the Progenitors, so I'm REALLY hoping that we're going to learn a bit more in this coming chapter, but regardless, I'm looking forward to it!

Chapter 71 is finished! It's 28k in total, so once I've done some editing, then I'll post it up here! :-) (probably tomorrow)

I don't think faye is going to get a body I think that he will enter the cyber realm

For that matter she may not get a body at all, it was eluded to that John has the ability to enter the Cyber-Realm.

Part of me wonders if/when Tefler does do the Faye body if there is going to be conflict between Faye's avatars about who gets permanent residence in it. Yeah, they are all Faye but would they be split up about it?

Very doubtful. Chapter 70 was split into Parts 1 and 2 because it was extremely long (roughly double the normal chapter length). I think 68 was split as well (too lazy to look back and verify), but that was because it was a bit longer than the average...and I'm pretty sure Tefler wanted to mess with us on the point where he split the chapter lol. Chapter 71 looks to be just a standard chapter, however, so it's unlikely to be split. ~Morningfrost

Is 71 going to be part 1 & 2 also?

i have a feeling that the metal they use on the ship and armor is going to bite them in the ass when they finally face off with the other progenitor

I plotted out the main story arc about 6 months ago, and I've stuck with it apart from a view minor deviations. It does make life much easier for keeping everything coherent!

I haven't posted on here yet, so hi everyone. Anyway, tefler, a friend of mine turned me on to this book through literotica. Pun intended. Wanted to let you know I have never enjoyed sci-fi books until this one. And this book has become one of my altime favorites. I look forward to every chapter with more anticipation then the next GoT episode. Keep doing what you do. 🙂
