I went to literotica first to change my author page to point here for updates (to reduce the amount of places I have to update), and while I was there, I added a comment to chapter 68. Then I submitted a blog post to storiesonline to announce the chapter was done. Finally I copied and pasted (with a couple of tweaks) to the updated status here. I did them one after the other, and just started with literotica through force of habit. :-)

I like the idea of turning this into an anime. That'd be sweet. Only problem is they'd have to cut the sex in order for it to become mainstream. Sure, there are some mainstream anime that are borderline porn (hentai in anime terms), such as High School DxD and Shimoneta to name a few, but they don't get anywhere close to what we see in this story. And by mainstream, I mean legal distribution outside of Japan with localized dubs.

Arghh!!!! The suspense with waiting for the next update and/or chapter is killing me Tefler!!! Jokes hopefully your feeling better this week? I'm happy to wait just excited to find out the fallout of the battle and to see if the Invictus bed debriefing happens this chapter or the next lol. On another note if my memory serves me correctly this post has had the most comments ever including the ones on Lit. Congrats Tefler on your ever increasing ability to draw in and keep a loyal and often highly educated following. It truly show that this epic space opera is a once in a lifetime story. Also consider after this adventure has finished approaching some of the anime production houses in Japan (preferable the ones that did the final fantasy films) and see if they will be willing to produce this space opera and give it the proper realisation that it deserves without cutting anything out or changing the story like that has happened to other epic stories *cough* game of thrones and lord of the rings*cough lol

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't replied to all these comments, but I promise I've read all of them. I've been busy writing chapter 69, and figured you'd prefer me spending my time doing that instead! A lot of the discussions on here were awesome, and you'll see me shamelessly borrow the discussion points in this chapter. ;-) Thanks a lot for your contribution to the story!

What an amazing read! Certainly the best battle scene so far, and a ballsy move by John to get the Federation firces to stop fighting amongst themselves. Love the ending!

I proposed a tropical world for the crew and the higher officers could be a military prison or other specialized facility where Intelligence officers could regularly "interview" them.  As for the ships, I would take junior Kintark officers and a skeleton crew with a load of marines and move them to a system and park them somewhere until they can be recycled. You take the ammunition or remove critical firing circuits from the shipboard weapons and have an escort. You could use some for research but you have so many ships you need to replace losses. I don't think they can pay John for the capture like they did with the last carrier.  If they did it would be several billion if they paid the same rate as last time, 200 million for the heavy carrier.  Does he get paid for the traitor fleet?  Does he take salvage instead for some of that?  A few more decommissioned assault cruisers?

I think spies onboard is a no issue, everybody basically saw what Invictus is capable of. Truth is even if T-Fed somhow gets their hands on some schematics or try copy something they saw they just won't be able to manufacture things like armour, lasers or engines or use them at full potential like Invictus. Just like they dont know what to do with Kintark heat sinks.

While on that topic what the hell will Terrans do with over 100 ships surrendered will they tractor beam them somewhere or try to crew them of course if they know how to operate them. There must be tens of thousands prisoners I imagine the logistics of either locking them in cells ( if they have so many cells ^^ ) or guarding them on their own ships will give terrans some headache not to mention possibility of mutiny with so many prisoners.

While re-reading this chapter on SOL (it is easier on a phone) I had another thought.  How many fighter pilots or other crew are recovered.  Surely some of those that didn't explode ejected safely, right? Do the personnel in combat wear space suits?  If rather than exploding the ship just slowly died or broke apart there could be survivors if someone got to them in time. Will they assist with the recovery effort and end up with "spies onboard"?  What about the 600+ men already on board?

I thought we read that Lynton OFFERED to make all the captains in her command female so that he could enthrall them but the evil progenitor refused the idea. Yes we did read that Lynton promised Sasaki the body of a woman half her age but there was no mention of details on how that was going to be done. So your presuming,,,,

I suspect that the task force to counter John must be all male because... We read that Gabriel has arranged for all the captain's under her to be female.  We read that she promised Sasaki to make her young again.  It is presumed that when interviewed these ladies will reveal why they turned traitor and how Gabriel changed.  That means for John that fact is out of the bag also.  They can't risk someone on the task force from becoming compromised.

hi, really enjoyed the last installment, felt a bit sorry for amber as all the other colours had a first name like fluorescent and lurid but I suppose amber is its own first name.

Too the eastern edge of Terran space is Kirrix space btw I think John is planning to go there too with his mother disappearing there and knowing his luck Kirrix will probably lunch another invasion when he gets there. On another note concerning territory Kintark Empire and T-Fed are about the same Trankarans have long border with T-Fed but thier territory is shallow, but judging on travel time alone Maliri have the biggest territory but sparly populated. Still I bet there are even bigger empires in the galaxy hell even the Kirrix could have vast empire.

I might sketch out a rough map for you guys. It might be a bit tricky as space is 3D, but essentially the Terrans are surrounded by other empires on all sides (and above + below). They are "hemmed in", but only because they've rapidly expanded outwards to every border.

I found a general description at the end of chapter 20.  Note, he also said that most races have only one or two worlds so those would not have been mentioned in his overview.  The general overview was: To the immediate "North" along a small border are the Malari but no one knows what their territory looks like except for the trading stations on the borders. To the west was the Kintark and John said that they let him travel around freely.  He has even been in their home world. To the east is the Ashanath.  On one side of them are the tribes of the Drakkar . To the south are the Trankarans and Brimorians. I am not sure where Karron on was in relation to the map but on the other side of that was Kirrik space.
