Three Square Meals Ch. 187 (Placeholder)

Hey everyone,

I'm creating a couple of placeholders as you predicted. I'm hoping to be able to finish at least 3 chapters in February, as I've already planned out all the scenes for the upcoming part of the story. If I can maintain that pace throughout the year, I'll have almost cleared the backlog by December.

Best wishes,

Tefler

Tefler, I can ghost write side scenes for you. No charge.

I agree, he probably just started writing the end of 173 today. The first half felt like he hammered it out in a 2 hour writing session at 10pm the night of release. I wish he would stop jerking us loyal readers around and get the story moving. He has so many arcs to explore that he has zero excuses to give for not writing other than being a drunk womanizing gambling addicted crackhead. That would be the only valid excuse I can think of and I highly doubt he has such issues.

February 25th. If we got the last 7K words of ch 173 by today Tefler would be writing at 280 word/day pace. Which is getting to be more typical. (for reference this post is 240 words) Honestly I doubt he has written a word since the wee hours of February 1st. I think he will start writing on the 26th and publish the last 7K of ch 173 and 3K of ch 174 on March 1st at about 5AM London time. After writing 10K in 3 days he’s going to feel like superman. He’s going to assume he can write 3K a day, or 90K per month. At this pace he could deliver 3 chapters even if he took a week off. So he takes that week off to recover from the all nighter on the 1st of the month. Then he takes another two and a half weeks off for some reason. No one cares what it is. And the cycle starts again. I don’t think Tefler has the ability to be a disciplined 3K/day writer. On the other hand he is religiously consistent with maintaining this stupid routine - as if Xar’ himself rammed it into his brain. If he chose to be as religious about a more productive daily routine we would have all the chapters we were promised and more by end of year. Not holding my breath, but Tefler needs a religious conversion for sure.

-- or we might get something in between, ... Tef has been quiet, and we're just guessing at his EOM drops, ... smh, .... ;-) ttfn

Michael56Smith

wow, we are going to get three whole chapters this week! right....right? or maybe just 1/3rd and 2 placeholders...

Ryan Crowley

I agree with you, I don't believe he actually writing anything at all now...he's releasing what he already has, at a snail's pace, to drag out these payments for as long as he can milk them. He's made a small fortune over the last 8 or 9 years off this saga, and what he's getting now is like extra gravy for the mash potatoes....he doesn't care because It appears he's already made more money with this than he ever expected to...

Greg Hill

Hey!

Michael56Smith

February 15th: 466 words/day average if Tefler could delivery the last 7K of ch 173 by end of day. This pace would also allow him to deliver 6K of ch 174, or about 30% of a chapter. If Tefler delivers ch 173 after today his pace will be slower than January’s pace of 13K words/month. Forget ‘at least 3 chapters’… Tefler would be writing fewer words/day than Michael56Smith does.

AzureReader

The 1 charge cap + $1 donation is my compromise here. I don't like the way Tefler has treated his supporters. We're not his piggy bank. We pay for a service. He either needs to produce, or he needs to do without the income from patreon. Hopefully he'll realize stealing is wrong, but I think he is doing whatever he needs to do to justify taking money from us without actually having to write. It's so unethical, and so very disappointing.

Everyone knows Tefler is going to wait to the final hour to deliver very little… except Tefler. He seems to feel very optimistic after he writes ~10K words on the last day of the month after staying up until 5AM. Then he takes a 27 day nap followed by shock that he can’t write 3 chapters in the last few hours. Every month. I was hoping that some math might explain why his approach can’t logically work and prompt him to try writing earlier.

AzureReader

Thanks for teaching and reminding me that I’m no native speaker.

Johnboy

I'm having to guess what you mean because as it is written it is hard to understand verging on unintelligible. If you mean that Tefler should just wipe the placeholders from existence? Then I'm confident that this would be illegal, since he has already received payment for each one.

Unresolved Plots

How about you relieve all of us. Cut the remaining chapters, we’ll be glad, you’ll be relived and then present the 189 starting fresh. Just saying

Johnboy

.... hey there Blue Scholar, ... but then again, Tef will likely once more be waiting for the EOM to drop the end of chapter completed #173, and for any partial or hopefully, a completed #174, ... it has been a long time since Tef actually dropped End of Chapter words to complete a partial chapter early in the next month, .... he knows he once did it, and thinks he can do it again, ... I guess, ... I hope he will soon actually be able to again, for real, ... PS: I really enjoy your math, so few are really math literate these days, thank you, ... PSS: and regular updates, ... weekly or bi-weekly would be really nice, ... at least until Tef gets all caught up, ... and after the Tom Walker sub-plot gets resolved, ... ;-) ttfn

February 12th and still no final 7k of ch 173. If delivered today Tef. would be on a 583 word/day pace with 16 days left, meaning we’re getting a little less than half of ch 174 at this pace. If Tefler delivers ch 173 on February 14th he would be on pace to deliver 1/3 of ch 174. It only goes down from there.

AzureReader

That is actually pretty funny.

Florida Reader

He's gonna drain his dwindling fan base of whatever he can before this all goes away. The guy isn't writing anymore. That's obvious.

Garrett

Tefler's Law: You can milk anything with nipples

Garrett

Still no final 7K of ch 173. If delivered today you would be on 775 words/day pace with 19 days left or 2/3 of a chapter. You’ve still got a chance of beating your recent writing speed if you can deliver ch 173 in the next day or two. It’s very important to at least be going in the right direction. After about the 12th your pace will be as slow as usual… and then be worse than usual. Come on… write man!

AzureReader

End of week 1 and no updates. Anyone surprised? Lol

Jim Owens

It’s February 7th. Last day to deliver the last 7K of ch 173 and hit 1000 words a day pace. This is the pace needed to deliver a single chapter during the rest of the month. 1/3 of your estimate of delivering “at least 3 chapters in February”. Tomorrow we’re back in fraction of a chapter pace. Eventually leading to a desperate dash at the final hour just to finish ch 173. Which is what we were all expecting the in the first place. You need to actually write to make it different.

AzureReader

Lol not even giving a fuck anymore about us.

rich ed

It’s February 5th. If you deliver the final 7K words of chapter 173 today you’ll be writing at 1400 words a day pace. With 23 days left at this pace you’ll deliver 32K more words, about 1.5 chapters. This is the do-or-die day for staying on pace to deliver half your 3 chapter prediction from your post. If you deliver the final 7K in two days, the 7th, you’ll be writing a 1000 words a day with only 21 days left. You’ll only deliver 1 full chapter. After that you’re back in fraction-of-a-chapter territory.

AzureReader

Hi Tefler - its February 4th. If you’re writing the 2200 words a day needed to complete 3 chapters this month you should have the last 7K words of ch. 173 complete by today. I think it’s unrealistic, but not impossible. Delivering 173 today would be great for us, a confidence booster that you are on track, and means that 7K is behind you. I know it’s not your last second of the month MO, but there’s no way to deliver 3 chapters without disciplined writing across the whole month.

AzureReader

If Tefler has ever actually been sick, I'll eat my hat. He's a liar.

Garrett

If Tefler’s record of hitting any of his monthly productivity estimates over the past several years has not discouraged you then nothing I can say will. Nor would I want to try. The world needs optimists.

AzureReader

Tefler will need to average 2k words a day to achieve 3 chapters a month. It is obvious that he has not been getting anywhere close to this for the past couple of years, but in that time he has been sick. Before that I don't believe it was unusual for him to do 60k words a month (which equated to 2 chapters at the time). If his health issues are clearing for the first time in two years, which is what his last post indicates, then it is not unreasonable to think he could get back to previous output levels, which equates to around 3 chapters per month, at the current 20k chapter length. A good indicator will be how quickly Tefler completes 173. If it is done in the next few day's, then the signs point to his productivity increasing again and hopefully more chapters by month end. If we have not seen anything by say the 10th, then this almost certainly means that he is not going to achieve the 3 chapters he wants. Lets just wait and see.

Unresolved Plots

No matter how you look at it we’ve paid for 173. To catch up while charging for 2 chapters every month he would need to write three full, new chapters. You realize this is like arguing if flying unicorns travel at 47 or 67 mph: about as connected to reality as DEI initiatives being the cause of airplane crashes. We’ll be lucky to get that last 7k of 173 by end of February.

AzureReader

173 is not complete yet, so Tefler might be including this in his statement. So 47K words in February. Lets just wait and see how he does.

Unresolved Plots

So you’re planning on writing 67K words in February: 3 full 20K chapters plus finish the last 7K of ch. 173? And then maintain 60K words every month for a year. When your average has been about 10K words a month for a very long time. Step 1. Stop taking LSD. You have zero sense of reality. Step 2. Buy several kilos of cocaine. You need enough for every day, all day, for a year. Good luck!

AzureReader

Well, after 173 chapters (and being charged for 188 now), I’ve had enough … when one charges for what they have not delivered, it is fraud. Yes, I’ve knowingly consented up to this point, though only $1 for the last 12 “placeholders”, but even that is too much reward for your scam. It was a good run; good luck John Blake saving the universe ….

glenn kellogg

Tefler, I think it is time you cut yourself some slack and recognize that you will never achieve your previous productivity. There are several reasons for that: 1) Serial fiction is hard. It gets harder with every episode. Successful serial fiction builds their stories with a periodic hard reset. 2) More often than not these days, you pan to the fireplace when things get hot. I appreciate that you don't want to revisit the same old sex scenes, but you are losing a narrative that was good for thousands of words every episode. Without 5K words of gleeful banging, you are instead on the hook for 5K words of complex plot development. I'm not saying that's bad, I'm just saying that your previous word output is more difficult than ever. 2a) A good, solid, 10k-word bang session is probably overdue. There's ladies need bangin', is all I'm saying. I respectfully suggest that you accept that your chapters are coming farther apart, but they are better chapters. And people will still pay for shorter, higher-quality chapters. 10k is still a lot of words, and roughly maps to your early chapters less the gleeful sex. I also suggest you start a monthly payment campaign, so people can support you without having this nonsense every month.

Jerry Seeger

if you can actually fulfill that promise, you will have earned a bit of a reprieve.

Jim Owens

> I'm hoping to be able to finish at least 3 chapters in February 🤣🤣🤣

I really hope you choke on a cock

I wasn’t upset until the as you predicted line

It's honestly kinda insulting to promise three chapters In the shortest month after failing to finish one in a 31 day month...

Ryan Crowley

I wonder if Tefler and Antiproton are the same person? They have similar writing styles, similar avatars, antiproton references TSM a couple times and it seems that around the time that Tefler slowed writing and started the placeholders was the time that Antiproton started.

Jokers 9453

Great advice thank you!

Jokers 9453

There you go

SV

He'll not even finish 173 by the end of February then a few more place holders, lower your subscription to $1 and cap it at 1 charge

Jeff

🤣🤣🤣🤣

Bennie Wilson

3 chapters in the shortest month of the year, when you havent been able to do a single chapter in 3 months or so?? At this point, who are you kidding??

Hendrix Morton

HAHAHA THERE IT IS!

Jeff

How many this time?
