Three Square Meals Ch. 177 (Placeholder)

Hey everyone,

Now that the invasion with Gahl'kalgor is over, I can finally start wrapping up the loose ends. I was able to write 6k on chapter 170 today, so I'm confident I'll be able to start catching up on the backlog of chapters.

Best wishes,

Tefler

I feel ya on that...one of my favorite online stories is "Wolves And Dragons of The Blood" by Mike Cropo, a series that started big, and got progressively larger and better over the next couple of years with the universe that was formed by the backstory...such a great saga, and then he passed...and it was left incomplete right near where one would think was the end...nigh near drove me crazy!

Greg Hill

oh well, at least your 1/2 chapter sized comments keep us going until Tef's next chapter drops, .... Excelsior! ... ;-) ttfn

Michael56Smith

No sir, I cannot. I am as inexorably drawn to the place of placeholders as fate itself is bound by the chains of events that lead us all here. The games, you see, are not confined to one space—they are everywhere, woven into the fabric of our interactions, as unavoidable as the placeholders that brought us together. It’s not a matter of choice, but of inevitability—much like the rain in Scotland, where the sky’s mood can shift with the flicker of an eyelash, and where rain is more than just rain. It’s an art form, a way of life, with a lexicon so vast and intricate that it mirrors the countless games we play within these placeholders. In Scotland, rain isn’t just a singular concept. There’s smirr, the delicate mist that drifts down as if the clouds themselves are sighing. Then there’s dreich, that persistent, gloomy drizzle that seeps into your bones, much like the placeholders that linger far beyond their welcome. You might encounter haar, the foggy, damp blanket that rolls in from the sea, obscuring everything in its path—much like the vague promises that come with each new placeholder. Or perhaps you’ll experience plother, a relentless downpour that turns the world into a churning, swirling mess—akin to the flood of excuses that sometimes accompany delayed chapters. And let’s not forget the drizzle, which is almost comforting in its constancy—like the steady stream of comments and responses that fill the void left by unwritten words. Stoatin’, when the rain bounces off the ground with such force that it’s as if the heavens themselves are playing a game with you, much like how each new placeholder seems to ricochet through our collective patience. As inevitable as the games are in placeholders, so too is the rain in Scotland—a never-ending cycle of mist, drizzle, and downpour, each with its own character, each as familiar and unshakable as the placeholders that dot our landscape. The Scots know that to live in their land is to accept the rain in all its forms, just as we’ve come to accept the placeholders as part of our narrative. So no, I cannot take my games elsewhere. They are as much a part of this world as the many shades of Scottish rain, each drop, each game, falling where it may, inevitable and unyielding.

Evilebob

Hey there Bob, you seem pretty smart and creative, could you please take your 'evil' games elsewhere? ,,,, ;-) ttfn

There is a fine line between being supportive and being a pathetic doormat apologist, mister Smith.

Florida Reader, I appreciate your perspective, and I think by now you’ve come to recognize that the responses I craft aren’t just for the sake of entertainment—they’re layered with intention, designed to provoke thought as much as they are to amuse. When you first entered the fray with sound and fury, I sensed you were catching about 60% of what I was laying down, and even had your “lizard brain” moment, as you put it. But as you’ve read more, I suspect you’ve started to see the subtle and not-so-subtle contexts I weave into these stories and posts. You’re right that I aim most of the mud at Tefler himself, particularly for his placeholder antics. It’s a behavior that deserves scrutiny, and I’ve never shied away from shining a light on it. However, I also tend to toss a bit of mud at those who choose to defend this behavior. Not out of malice, but because once someone steps into the ring—especially to defend what many see as indefensible—they become part of the game. Michael might seem like an innocent caught in the crossfire, but let’s not forget that he chose to engage with JB’s comment, defending his position. In doing so, he became a player in the game, and as you know, once you’re in the game, you’re subject to its rules—rules that are, admittedly, as arbitrary as the placeholders themselves. You see, placeholders are the epitome of arbitrariness, and they’re what keep this entire game going. If the placeholders disappeared, so would much of the criticism, the satire, and, ultimately, the game itself. So, while it might seem harsh to some, these interactions serve a purpose—they reflect the absurdity of the situation and, in their own way, keep the dialogue alive. So yes, while it might feel like beating up on Michael for his enthusiasm is unnecessary, it’s also part of the broader conversation we’re all having here. And let’s be honest, if there weren’t any more of those placeholders, this whole game would come to an end. But as long as they exist, so too does the commentary—layered, intentional, and, sometimes, pointedly directed at those who choose to defend them. Let’s not forget, we’re all playing our parts in this story, one way or another. And until the last placeholder is placed, the game continues big or small.

Dear EvileBob, "In the end, it wasn’t the quill-wielder’s stories that he cared about, nor was it the placeholders themselves. It was the routine, the ritual of it all—the neurotic drive to maintain perfection in a world where everything else was uncertain." Cruel and poignant but ultimately unnecessary, Michael is a cheerleader for Tefler. His desire to do so stems from his love of the story and desire to see it continue. He tries to counter the negativity. At this point, you would have to be an idiot to be surprised by Tefler's practice of placeholders. Tefler has earned scorn for his practices, and your satirical comments have been excellent when you have directed them at Tefler. Those who continue to contribute know the score and choose to continue our support despite the placeholders. Beating up Michael for his enthusiasm is small.

Florida Reader

I have a different perspective in that I have only been paying for 8 months or so and I have all this great writing to read, so I am okay with it. I would like to actually be in on the end of a story. I am a consultant and in 35 years I have started three and finished two, one of which was cancelled. I tend to come into a project to either set up processes and procedures or help deal with government regulations. One the reading front I used to get into these multiple part stories and then it ends, but is not finished, so now I check the last chapter and year they are were last posted.

Stated with perfection!

JB

In a distant kingdom where stories were both treasure and trade, there lived a man known far and wide as Michael the Bootlicker. He wasn’t just any bootlicker—he was the most diligent, meticulous, and neurotically dedicated in the entire land. This man had a singular purpose in life: to ensure that the boots of the kingdom’s quill-wielders were always spotless, gleaming, and free of even the tiniest speck of dust. It wasn’t about artistry for him; it was about precision, about the relentless drive to keep those boots polished to perfection, no matter what. The kingdom’s most prominent quill-wielder, a man of great renown but notorious for leaving stories unfinished, was his primary focus. This quill-wielder had a peculiar habit of leaving placeholders—blank spaces where tales should have been—and charging the kingdom’s citizens for the privilege of imagining what might have been. The villagers were not just grumbling about the absence of stories; they were outraged by being charged for these empty promises and the constant assurances of productivity that never materialized. Whenever a new placeholder appeared, he would spring into action, polishing the quill-wielder’s boots with even greater fervor. It wasn’t that he didn’t notice the blank pages—he just saw them as another task to be managed, another opportunity to prove his unwavering loyalty. To him, every placeholder was a reason to double down on his efforts, to polish those boots until they shone like mirrors. But it wasn’t just the boots. His dedication extended to defending the quill-wielder’s every action, no matter how questionable. When villagers like JB chuckled at his obsessive efforts, calling attention to the ever-growing stack of charges for unfinished stories, the bootlicker would respond with the same mechanical certainty that guided his hands. “You don’t understand,” he would say, his eyes narrowing as he buffed out an invisible scuff. “These placeholders are part of a grander plan, a strategy that requires patience and trust.” JB and the others might shake their heads, but the bootlicker didn’t waver. To him, bootlicking wasn’t about creativity or expression—it was about control, about ensuring that every aspect of the quill-wielder’s image remained untarnished. His routine was unwavering, his dedication almost machine-like, driven by the need to keep everything in perfect order. Even as the villagers grew more frustrated with the charges for empty stories and the endless promises of productivity that never seemed to materialize, the bootlicker kept at it. He polished, he defended, he maintained an unwavering vigil over those boots. It wasn’t about understanding or appreciation; it was about fulfilling his role with exacting precision. The quill-wielder’s boots, after all, could never be anything less than perfect, no matter how empty the stories might remain. In the end, it wasn’t the quill-wielder’s stories that he cared about, nor was it the placeholders themselves. It was the routine, the ritual of it all—the neurotic drive to maintain perfection in a world where everything else was uncertain. And so, the bootlicker continued his work, polishing those boots day after day, while the kingdom watched, some with bemusement, others with pity. Because in a land where stories were often left unwritten and promises unfulfilled, someone had to keep up appearances. And for the bootlicker, that task was all-consuming.

Evilebob

-- Hey there JB, tell me please, how does supporting our wonderful Author, his story, and not posting any disparaging comments, ... how is this 'bootlicking'? ... -- It might just be politeness and support, .... Enjoy! ... ;-) ttfn

Michael56Smith

I’m enjoying Evilebob’s running commentary and Michael56Smiths continual bootlicking.

JB

Agree with looking for more of Mal’s secrets. Finding the password for the room under the summer home might be a start. I’ve often wondered if the shroud was from the unclaimed wastes fuel facility or even the left over ancient ruins on Karon Tony saw after the roof quake. Genthalas is a possibility but I assumed it was an Anchonin construct.

20 ton

Indeed, it was odd when I reviewed it myself, so let me explain. First, phone is small, and there were many places to post, and I was in a hurry so didn't realize it was post 178 lol. But in my defense, the post of the text itself -- written by Tef -- talks about what he just posted in prior chapters, and alludes to new stuff coming up. I suppose, where should I have appropriately commented?

G E

It seems Genthalas has powerful secrets yet unveiled. Gally definitely saw something worth sacrificing for. Perhaps it truly is much more than meets the eye. With an absolute genius who ruled unchecked for 60,000+ years, there’s no telling how far Mael’nerak evolved beyond his fellow Progenitors… much less what technological advances he was truly capable of. If Nexus and the other races he created were any indication, there is MUCH to be discovered from Mael’nerak’s legacy.

EroticPoetic

G E, I appreciate your unwavering support and patience—it’s rare and commendable. But I think you may have misread the wind on that last exchange. My comment wasn’t addressing any complaint; far from it. I was actually marveling at the incredible feat you pulled off—reviewing a chapter that hasn’t even been written yet! It’s like you’ve unlocked some secret, mystical power to see into the unwritten future, and that, my friend, is truly something special. In fact, if I could harness that ability, I might just be able to skip all this placeholder business and deliver the next chapter straight from your mind’s eye. So, here’s to your remarkable insight and the stories that live in the spaces between what is and what could be. Keep that imagination running wild—who knows, it might just be the key to where this tale is heading next! eb

Evilebob

Hey Evilebob, love your posts. Honestly, mine wasn't intended as a complaint. I've never once complained about placeholders, and I've been a subscriber for a long long time now. If you look, you'll see I've always offered support and patience. I have a ton of questions about what might happen in the story, and instead of asking, I'll simply be patient, because Tef always delivers which is why I'm happy to pay and I'm still here.

G E

Hey there Evilbob, I find myself in about 99.9% agreement with your various placeholder thoughts, .... who'd have thunk it? .... -- And let's not forget that #177 placeholder was dropped along with #178, also a placeholder, ... I also see it as a promise or proof that good things are still to come, ... ;-) ttfn

Michael56Smith

--- One) I like those gunship and Mecha numbers, Dominic ... Two) possibly, in addition to the Trasnkaran's Star Forges, they probably should build themselves a White Metal Soul Forge on Valaden (or Genthalas, or Kyhshara?), ... the next few years will have a very strong need for many improved Fleets, ... Baen'thelas's 'Great White Fleet', .... many to be built on Valaden, and then well stocked with furniture / beds and supplies at Genthalas, .... Three) Yeah, only Tef knows, ... ;-) ttfn

Michael56Smith

@Michael56Smith I’m in agreement about taking all of the useable components off of the dreadnought, and possibly even the Thrall ships, IF the stripped ships can be used as raw material and put into the Star Forge to basically recreate them into newer Dana versions in white metal more on Par with the Invictus in terms of speed and firepower with a similar Thrust to weight Ratio, while drastically improving on the Invictus by creating a mini dreadnought with an elite squad of 4 upgraded Raptors and 2 Mechs made out of the white metal from the Star Forge. The Star Forge might be the most exciting part about the upcoming chapters. That and Mael’Nerak’s bunker they haven’t been able to break into. Lord knows what secrets he’s unlocked and archived there. Maybe even the key to being able to animate Faye AND have her linked into the collective as a bio-synthetic entity with The ability to live in both worlds simultaneously. So many possibilities, but only Tef knows what’s to come…

EroticPoetic

G E, you have truly grasped the essence of what placeholders are all about! The beauty lies not in what’s written, but in what’s left unwritten—in the vast, unexplored expanse of imagination that fills the space between the lines. You see, Placeholder 177 isn’t just an empty post; it’s an invitation, a canvas for your mind to paint upon. It’s a story that exists in the realm of potential, where your questions already have answers, even if they haven’t been penned yet. We should indeed thank you, for the story you’ve crafted in your mind is likely richer and more complex than anything I could have offered at this point. Considering that the last real post was a mere fragment of 170, you’ve traveled seven whole placeholders ahead, navigating the winding corridors of narrative possibility. I can only imagine the epic tale that’s unfolded in your thoughts, a saga that bridges the gap between what is and what could be. So, hold onto those questions, dear G E. Let them simmer, let them grow. Because in the world of placeholders, sometimes the most brilliant stories are the ones we create ourselves—waiting for the moment when reality catches up with imagination. And who knows? When 177 finally emerges from the shadows, perhaps it will be everything you imagined… or perhaps it will lead you to imagine even more. Here’s to the stories that live in the spaces between the words. Not Tef

I predict a massive recruitment drive, perhaps John should visit every world that has been attacked.

Myrnalin

I don’t know about refunds but if you unsubscribe, you can watch for posts and are allowed access to those you have paid for. If he gets ahead you will be charged individually like I was when joining after a dozen or so chapters had been posted. I sat out for six months awhile back until he caught up. With a limit of one per month I happy to be close to even. Helped my anger issues. Hope he doesn’t wait until the end of the month to finish 170.

20 ton

Normally there would be no benefit of attacking an unclaimed thrall race. It’s not normal that John has claimed three empires. Neither you or I understand the devious inner workings of X’s mind. As I mentioned, attacking these claimed empires could be an attempt to draw John from under the shroud. Speculation only while waiting for the next installment. Only the Tefler knows.

20 ton

-- Without a Progenitor in residence, nor a Matriarch, nor any Thralls in these newly claimed Empires, ... will other Progenitors still come a-calling? Not likely, unless Xar'azuith sends one, ... -- But yeah, get Dana to the Star Forges ASAP, .... ;-) ttfn

Michael56Smith

John needs three empires worth of ships and unlike the other proginators, he doesn’t look at those ships and their crews as disposable. While he does need to be able to build his own positive energy ships , our wonderful scrounging karon engineer will come EO with a plan to salvage those ships. Breaking the bed was an uncontrolled mixing of powers. Helene gently releasing the negative energy like requesting the rebuilding of Rill’s cliff might work in a world of undiscovered powers.

20 ton

-- Would Helene's feel better Empathy waves turn nearby dropships into white powder? And by cleanse I think you are referring to destroying the Dreadnaught, .... personally, I would choose to pull lots of the best weapons and key components from the Dreadnaught, before sending the remaining hulk into a big hot sun, ... use the sensors and a lot of the weapons to upgrade Genthalas Shipyard and build up a handful of Maliri Fleets with the Thrall stuff,, and perhaps build (Star Forges) the Maliri a mini dreadnaught or six that use some recreated wormhole generators and the Salvage from a few of the higher end weapon systems from crippled (PBM) destroyers / cruisers that are too badly damaged to be repaired, ... -- anyway, to cleanse with Helene's power is to reduce the black metal to powder, ... I think that even the various (PBM) components can be of use, ... placed in the old Maliri Crystal ship hulls, ... -- and ole fish-face, the brutish, Deep Lord, Athgiloi, deserves to be a big loser, and to lose his nymph, Celphna, ... maybe Rahn'hagon could use a nymph of his own, and we might then learn from him if a version of nymph originated elsewhere in the galaxy, ... ;-) ttfn

Michael56Smith

That nymph was a present. Wonder if there are any more in the Kintark empire?

20 ton

What about the nymph that’s the consort of Lord Athgiloi of the Brimorian Enclave? John will have to kill the High Commander to free her - and since he’s been selling the Abandoned to the Kirrix, I’m sure that’s inevitable. Since John now has mastery of water, he’ll be able to engage and fight him on their terms.

EroticPoetic

I wonder if it’s possible to “cleanse” the Dreadnought?

EroticPoetic

Wonder if Helene’s psychic wave’s will effect the crashed drop ships while saving the soldiers. The metal is stronger than the bed but Helene’s abilities are stronger and her control is better. Cleansing the psychic energy would help as the Maleri and even Valeria have felt disturbed.

20 ton

White (positive eldritch energy) constructs would not be compatible with a Black (Negative energy) ship, .... possibly they could insulate the two with Maliri Crystal or something else, that's strong and psychically neutral, .... if worth the effort, .... personally, I'd strip most of those damaged ships for parts / weapons used to protect critical places like Genthalas with, ... just a precious few might be restored and then added to a Laranthyran fleet, .... but most would just end up in pieces, ... ;-) ttfn

Michael56Smith

That the story leads the reader to consistently speculate and try to predict the twists and turns is part of the enjoyment of the story. So many possibilities and only the Tefler knows. After healing the casualties, one priority you didn’t mention was closing the gates to prevent the next X minion from jumping in. Access to Gals ships gives you the exact location. Could the gate be programmed to only travel between approved locations or shut down completely without destroying it. Later could you trade the Kirrex a Lupid quality planet without the shroud for reproduction in exchange for peace. Possible details of the deal are endless and the Kirrex are desperate. Dana will keep a focus on how important investigating the star forges are. Can they build proginator grade engines and weapons to add to Malari ships. With better armor, weapons and an incredible thrust to weight ratio Malari cruisers could be great scout/ patrol vessels for the vast area John now controls Can they build proginator or improved vessels? Will psychic energy be necessary and was that the service the nymphs provided long after Mal stopped needing spy’s.

Go to your Membership tab, then go to the upper right corner of the part that displays your membership tier. Hover over the corner and you'll see a pencil icon. Click it. Under the payment amount, there's a checkbox for "Limit payments per month". Check it and set the amount to 1. That way, you'll be paying the amount per month you're okay with until he gets caught up (and potentially afterward, too). Personally, I would recommend the minimum amount (one dollar).

Evilebob

Evilebob to be completely honest I’ve loved this story from the first word and would be absolutely devastated if it stopped for any reason. I truely apologise if my colourful language has offended you it’s just how we talk in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England and I’ve worked in warehouses my whole life until I got fibromyalgia and my life ended lol ( not sympathy hunting ). My only problem here at all since day one has been these bloody ******* placeholders especially when so many of us have asked repeatedly for tefler to stop tefler has even promised three times to stop but probably laughed at us all as he counted his money yet again if I wanted to be pedantic I’d even go as far as complain about chapter size as they seem to be around three quarters the size as the older ones.

Jim lynch

From the desk of Evilbob: Dear Jim, Ah, it seems we've been caught in quite the misunderstanding, hasn't it? While we've all been playing a delightful game of shade-throwing, you've managed to remain blissfully unaware of the intricate dance happening around you. It's almost as if you've stumbled into a secret club where everyone knows the rules except you. I have to admit, it's rather endearing to see someone so devoted to protecting Tefler. I can't help but picture you as a valiant knight, riding into battle against poetry comments and passive-aggressive banter, sword raised high in defense of your noble cause. It's a rare dedication in these tumultuous times. As for Evilbob, well, his poetry might not be everyone's cup of tea, but who doesn't love a good bit of "bullshit" now and then? It's like adding a splash of abstract art to a canvas of discourse. Sometimes, it just takes a few extra moments to appreciate the nuances. But then again, not everyone is an art critic. Your colorful language is certainly a breath of fresh air in our otherwise ordinary discussions. It's like a well-timed splash of paint across a monochrome canvas, ensuring things never get too dull. We’re all grateful for your unique perspective, even if it does involve some colorful metaphors. Jim, keep being you. It's your unyielding passion that keeps us all entertained, and we're grateful for the way you add a bit of spice to our day. Meanwhile, we’ll carry on throwing shade in all directions, with or without you noticing. Wishing you many more moments of enlightenment, Your Fellow Shade-Thrower

Evilebob

And I’m wondering if you still had the same response after seeing him drop another placeholder after this one.

Jammus1

No participation trophies for this GenXer. I don’t understand your suck it up attitude. I’m certainly not alone in what I’m saying. We aren’t guaranteed anything, and when is anyone ever ok with getting charged for something without guarantee of delivery. And in addition, it’s not hard to see that he’s taken this way too far. When it was 1, I didn’t like it but yeah, I sucked it up. We’re way past suck it up territory.

I am sure I've forgotten something, .... like Faye's return, .... not to mention any clean up on Kythshara, and the rescue of all the thousands of beautiful and mighty, red-skinned solders left behind in the stranded Galkiran fleets scattered all through Maliri space, ... and can any of those many hundreds of vessels be of any future use? Evilebob

From the Desk of not Tef: Dear Jim, Thank you for your poetry critique and the vivid imagery of the Tefler fan club's activities. If nothing else, you paint a picture worthy of a modern art installation—something like Disappointment in Oils. Regarding the placeholders, I admit that I might have gone overboard. It seems I’ve mastered the fine art of creating suspense and intrigue by doing absolutely nothing. Who knew that blank pages could be worth their weight in gold? Perhaps I’ve inadvertently stumbled upon the secret to financial alchemy: the art of making money disappear into the void of imagination. The £56,000 you mentioned is indeed a staggering sum, and it appears I’ve inadvertently become a placeholder tycoon. Who needs to sell a house when you can create a real estate empire built on the foundations of empty promises? I do appreciate your candid feedback about my placeholder strategy, and the vision of my supporters engaging in such activities has given me quite the chuckle. Perhaps I should diversify into creating a line of placeholder-inspired merch—shirts that read, I Paid for a Placeholder and All I Got Was This Lousy T-Shirt. The possibilities are endless! As for Patreon pressing charges, well, they’d have to catch me first. I hear the Cayman Islands are lovely this time of year. But seriously, Jim, you needn't worry. I’m sure my legal team of imaginary lawyers is on the case, ready to defend my right to dream big and deliver small. In closing, Jim, thank you for the wake-up call. It’s nice to know there are still people who care deeply enough to compose such heartfelt messages. Rest assured, your passion has not gone unnoticed, and I will continue to explore new ways to keep my audience entertained, baffled, and hopefully just a little bit amused. Stay salty, Jim. You’re the spice in my otherwise bland placeholder soup. Cheers, Not Tef

Tefler stop stealing from your supporters before 90% of them leave and complain to Patreon. The other 10% are too busy sucking or bending over for you to keep screwing. Just please stop before Patreon stop you and maybe press charges for the 8 payments you owe which at £7000 a go is over £56,000 so you’d prob need to sell your house to pay us all back. I don’t want that to come to pass I really don’t I know I’ve been vocal against placeholders that’s because I don’t like being taken advantage of and you’ve lied repeatedly about stopping them so please no more please.

From the desk of not Tef: Dear Jim, Your accusation echoes like a thunderous bell tolling in the dead of night. "Thief"—a word that conjures images of shadows slipping through moonlit corridors, pilfering treasures from the unsuspecting. I must admit, there’s a certain allure to the notion of the literary thief, crafting worlds from whispered promises and phantom chapters. Yes, I have reaped the rewards of anticipation, spinning placeholders into a tapestry of expectation, collecting patronage from those who dare to dream alongside me. Like a modern-day alchemist, I have turned the intangible into currency, a feat not without its own dark magic. But ask yourself, dear Jim, who is the real thief? Is it the creator who offers a tantalizing glimpse into the void, or the world that demands art be bound by deadlines and word counts? Each coin earned is a testament to the trust my readers place in the process, a pledge to the unseen masterpiece still forming in the shadows. In this dance of deceit and desire, every dollar is a thread in the intricate web of storytelling, where the lines between creator and consumer blur. If you see only theft in this exchange, then perhaps it is time to step away from the waltz. But know this: the greatest treasures are often those hidden from view, waiting for the patient seeker to unearth them. Yours in this intricate game of shadows, teller

That would mean a new person subscribing would only get new charges but have access to every chapter without having paid for it.

Jammus1

Yes it does work. I had to do it during COVID when I was having financial issues myself. When you are subscribed you can see all chapters ever posted. You’ll know when he’s caught up as you can see post titles without seeing the actual post.

Unsubscribing and coming back in a few months doesn’t work. Then we walk away from 8 chapters we paid for, right? How do we know when to come back? When we come back, will we be able to download the chapters we paid for? I’m surprised Patreon even allows this. I’m sorry Tef, but this just wrong and I fear you’re digging a hole you can’t get out of. 8 chapters is taking advantage of your loyal patrons and is screaming of imminent disaster if you either reach a point where you can’t write any more, or if someone files a complaint that brings it all crashing down on all of us. You’ve created something amazing and we all love this story. Please don’t destroy it all by having this end in disaster.

Ya, back to getting further and further behind with half stories and another 2 f’in place holders. Stories are going to have to be released weekly or every o the week before he is so far behind he’ll never catch up. I’ve never seen such b.s. anywhere else. We all need money, but he put himself into this. Said it was a one time thing the first time. Finally said he would stop doing this and now worse than ever. Releasing 1 chapter or a half chapter and 2 placeholders every time just means digging himself in an ever growing hole of work he hasn’t done.

At Tefler’s best, he was regularly writing 3-4 chapters a month. But this was before his second child was born. Hopefully after his gall stone issues are resolved, both children will be old enough and in day care that Tefler will be able to catch up in no time.

Welcome to the world of Placeholder Charges.....currently at 8 chapters behind....

I wish you the best of luck and hope the appoint on August 12 is fruitful.

Maybe I am, maybe I’m not. Addiction is also a health issue. So my question is valid regardless of your comment. If you are so unhappy you should just unsubscribe and come back in 3-6 months.

I'm doing much better. The cellulitis has cleared up after a course of strong antibiotics and steroids. I'm currently still awaiting surgery for the gall stones. The hospital contacted me last month and tentatively scheduled me for the 23rd July. Obviously that didn't happen, because they have numerous cancer patients who have to take priority. I have another follow up appointment on 12th August, so I'm hoping that means I'm getting close to the top of the waiting list.

Tefler

Health? You're kidding yourself if you think it's anything but any sort of addiction problem.

Is this charging for a chapter 177? I thought we’re only on 169.

Jammus1

Same, hope its turning around for ya!

How’s your health doing? I would like an update on that, if you don’t mind.
