Status Update
Added 2023-05-31 22:59:54 +0000 UTCHey everyone,
I've been in and out of hospital again this month, with another operation to remove a second gall stone. Fortunately, the hospital expedited my surgery, so I'll be having my gall bladder removed on 7th June.
I'm currently still working on Chapter 163. I'll publish the chapter later tonight when I've finished working on the next couple of scenes.
Best wishes,
Tefler

2024-06-02 02:19:43 +0000 UTCI admit to being curious...Why didn't your doctors clean up this gallstone problem the first time you went in for them?...it makes no sense that the doctors wouldn't give you any way to correct this problem after the first hospitalization...makes no sense to me!

2023-06-02 16:32:39 +0000 UTCBeen too busy to participate but as an internist (MD); 38 years the STUPIDITY of removing gallstones instead of the whole gallbladder is galling. This is modern medicine: decisions by burecrauts that haven't actually taken care of people for decades. Scum rises to the top in most professions, which is why after my 1st 12 years as a prof of med and biochem I left both serious research and teaching. I did not want to deal with the political b.... of Clown World anymore. Most PCPs are hemmed in by insurance and policy decisions. I actually saw my first gallbladder surgery when I was 6yo, standing next to my dad, in my our house which was 1 of 2 hospitals in our town. True, once the blood started flowing I ran away (I was 6yo). The other hospital was my uncle's house. My 2 aunts were also surgeons but one was in the US (San Diego) and the other elsewhere. I say this because medicine as I learnt it has become crap.

2023-06-01 20:01:19 +0000 UTCGall Bladder removal is pretty easy surgery. Should be about 2-3 days recovery. Might have to reduce fat intake, bile helps digest fats. I didn't have to alter my diet at all after removal. DEFINITELY better than the pain of a gallstone!!!

2023-06-01 01:59:36 +0000 UTCI have said it before. I love your story, but your health is more important. I know you need the money but don't kill yourself to get it. One of the things I really think you should do, is get rid of your arbitrary monthly deadline. Release chapters as you finish them and work as you can.
