Portraits With Arson

Whether it be cooking, crafting, photography, music... the list is endless. Creativity for everyone comes and goes like the seasons. Well, mine has been in a very long winter. From large life changes, shifts in subject preferences, a discovery of my own style, etc... It has all contributed. I cannot say for sure what sparked my creativity recently. What I can definitively say though is that Arson has helped pull me back into a creative realm and a strong desire to photograph people again. This was the first look we shot and it was merely meant to just be a warm up for the day, but it ended up being my favorite that we shot this day.
Directly after camping at 10 P.M. on the dark drive home down Interstate 5, I booked a peerspace, hoped and prayed that the host would approve my booking for less than the minimum time and less than 24 hours out. I send Arson a message telling her just this, as well as an apology for the lapse in communication over the weekend leading up to our shoot. It gets seemingly difficult to organize shoots while in the middle of a place called Desolation Wilderness. Each word – on it's own – is quite descriptive of the area, but when you put them together, it is a true definition.
Everything about this woman was inspirational, her charisma, her posing, her outfits... Everything.
