Author’s Note:

The original was never completed, but it was as long as the rewrite. I’ve been editing this original for five months. There aren’t many problematic elements, but please remember that I wrote this in 2013. My writing style has changed significantly (and hopefully improved). This may be jarring to readers who have only read the rewritten draft.

Original!Tobias is angrier, more avoidant & blatantly sexual (sometimes bordering harassment), and harder to psychoanalyze for readers. Original!Oliver is much less self-aware/socially aware, and sometimes, he can come across as insensitive due to a lack of social awareness.

Reading from Oliver’s naive perspective, it’s a little more difficult for readers to decipher Tobias’ complex reactions/triggers caused by ongoing trauma. Oliver’s family is not privy to Tobias’ struggles. The relationship between Oliver and Tobias was tweaked in the rewrite to portray a healthier combination of realistic flaws. Nic was not originally represented as aromantic but as more of a stereotypical young adult jock. Charlie-Anne was not the character that she is now. Abigail Amadeus is a more sympathetic figure.

The only missing chapters from this version are the last two chapters (which are mostly centered around Nic)

Once I find them, they will be added to this.
