My wife and I made something similar (Roman colosseum type fights) but of the people watching our charity stream, and entirely from scratch. Aesthetics for each fighter were automatic but things like armour, weapons and spells were customisable. And every so often there'd be some random enemy that came in, ranging all the way from small animals like gazelle to a giant red dragon.
