Newsletter, February 2019

Hi, my dear patron,

Binkov goes on! We'd like to remind you once again that our recent rework
of the Patreon rewards included a poll for the $5 tier (and up) patrons, where
patrons choose a topic that's to be made into a video.

The polls themselves will usually have a 30 or so day lifespan. At the end
of the month we'll announce a winner in a separate post so any votes
cast later than that will not be counted. (We tried looking for a way
to put an actual time limit on the poll but Patreon doesn't seem to
offer that option) Then on 1st or 2nd of each month a new poll will be
published. With, hopefully, many polls to come, if more and more
people join in over time.

As for our release schedule, here it is:
Next Friday you'll see "Is US losing the spy satellite race to China?"
- a video which explores current satellite fleets of two nations (not
just spy satellites) and going in depth on types of recon satellites,
talking about their roles and usefulness. Rate of rocket launches and
satellite launches is analyzed during the last several years, with
added comparisons with Russian satellite fleet, for a clearer context.
Should be an interesting video, to say the least.

Friday after that one you'll see Spain vs France, a classic VS video
of ours. It features some interesting moments when it comes to naval
conflict. And The Pyrenees play a significant role in the war.

Staying with our "every third Friday we need some time off" schedule
there'll be a one week pause after Spain Vs France, but we'll return
in mid March with a video covering the topic of "How long could
Ukraine last if Russia invaded it?" which will go into state of
Ukrainian and Russian militaries, their capability and the course of
such an invasion.

Oh, and the above doesn't mean we take a whole week off every three weeks.
It just means we need roughly 7-9 workdays to animate a video on average,
so we can't do more than 3 videos per month. Therefore we have to have
that one Friday off occasionally so our release schedule can catch up
with our production schedule.

We're also prepping two new kinds of videos to premiere sometime in
April, to see how you'll like those. One is basically a historical
based what-if video pitting two sides that never went to war in the
real world against each other. And the other is going to feature some
Game of Thrones related content. But it's still to early to go into
details as we ourselves haven't decided what the particularities of
the topic are going to be yet.

Hopefully you'll stay tuned and enjoy our upcoming content. :)

Salutations!

Commissar Binkov
