Question below :)

Men & women, I just got done reading “why men love bitches” it’s a book. & I’m honestly convinced that men love a woman who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to express it as so. The book goes over this example in depth with many others. What are your thoughts?

Intermittent reinforcement 😉 you’re so right about the way you described the loops!!

I think there’s a fine line between driven and egotistical, when being driven feeds into a caricature of “being a bitch” and you cave into a rigid thought pattern that that’s who you are, it becomes toxic. When women, or anyone for that matter, are in a position of power it should be balanced with grace and understanding. Long story short I like women that can handle power with emotional intelligence lol

I haven’t read the book but the word “bitch” has a negative connotation in this context. What do we mean when we say “men love bitches”. I think it’s true men are attracted to a confident woman that knows what she wants. I don’t know if I would call that being a bitch. I would probably call someone that’s rude, inconsiderate of others time, feelings, boundaries, personal space etc as not an ideal person to date. I might call them toxic and maybe a bitch. I still might be attracted to the woman I just described. When I think of why men love bitches. The term “hot and cold” comes to mind. It’s like why do women love assholes/dicks? What are we saying? I think in both cases these people are inconsistent with their affections. There’s a reward loop that comes with. “They were slow in giving me attention—>being very attentive, sweet affectionate—> pulling back, being cold, opposite of affectionate—>we try to do things to get back to more of step 2, “Please love me again”—> we feel rewarded when we do something that gets the affection back—> they’re being cold again. And the loop continues. I think being a psych major the focus should be on the individuals upbringing. What’s the sub conscious thing happening here that’s placing us in these unhealthy loops. In summary I think when we call someone an asshole or a bitch in terms of dating it is most likely tied to this unhealthy loop.
