Hello everyone, welcome to the seventh edition of our development diary.
Firstly, there has been a change of personnel. Our programmer, MiNT, has been having both health and personal problems over the last few months, which have unfortunately lead to issues with the game, as some of you may have noticed. We are now behind schedule, and as a result, with a need to catch up and his issues continuing, the situation forced us to immediately part ways with him as we cannot risk falling any further behind. It is a shame as MiNT has done a good job making the game look impressive, but we have a new full time programmer, Jr.X, who has been working hard to get to grips with the code so we can get the demo to you guys as soon as possible.
Jr.X is currently working on improving the exploration aspect of the game, fixing the navigational bugs, and making it resemble the vision I originally had for it, something more like Darkest Dungeon, with long “corridor” style areas connected to smaller “room” type ones. Also, in order to help us get back on track, I have hired a second programmer to work part time, and he is currently fixing the issues with the battle system.
Our current plan is to release the polished demo in February, with only a small delay due to the transitioning of staff. We are also hoping to get another work in progress release out to the backers before then, with the new exploration and the battle system improvements both implemented.
In the meantime, Sommy has been hard at work as always. As you can see above, he has finished Madam Ava, the NPC operator of the brothel location, and is currently working on improvements to the animations already in game, as well as the UI. We’ll also have some new design work to share with you guys in the near future.
Lastly, I’d like to thank you all for bearing with us at this time. We understand it is frustrating and you just want to play the game, and trust me, we are just as eager to get the demo finished as you are, for both personal and promotional reasons. I can only assure you that we are doing our best, and we are committed to making a high quality adult game for you all, despite whatever bumps appear on the road.
