Hello everybody, and welcome to the first installment of Jessika's Diary. We'll be putting these out routinely to let everyone know what is going on with the game.
The good news is, we met the first deadline as planned, and backers now have the combat prototype. We will be releasing it to the public on the 15th. Just a note going forward, we will be releasing all development content on a timed delay upto and including the full demo, after which, all releases will be backer only.
Now that the core of the combat system has been built and tested, we will be spending this month building on that work. MiNT will be focusing on adding the capability for multiple units, and status effects, as well as building behavior profiles for enemy AI (you can read more in his production report, here). Sommelier has already finished rigging and animating the next enemy, the myconid, and is currently working on the animations for the second player character, Mouse.
Next month we'll be taking a break from combat to focus on building an engine for randomly generating locations, more on that in the coming weeks.
