061 (Vol 4) HxH: Tombbound Power

That's enough. Ronnel figured the current Netero could easily handle this two-tailed snake—Unless it was somehow stronger than the Ant King, which was impossible~

To avoid disrupting Netero's offensive, Ronnel pulled his clone back from the entrance to the grassland. Not long after it retreated, a powerful surge of aura exploded across the horizon.

The clone turned back—and saw a golden Buddha blazing through the sky.

Netero's Nen: 100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva.

...

At the same time, Beyond, who had already led his team into the grassland, looked up. Some mechanism had triggered the weeds to tangle around them, slowing them down. As he gazed toward the radiant Buddha statue on the skyline, he froze in awe.

"He can even use the old man's abilities?"

Beyond murmured thoughtfully, "That's really something, Ronnel."

They'd already seen Ronnel use Knov's Hide and Seek and Morel's Deep Purple. Beyond knew Ronnel had the ability to mimic others' Nen techniques.

But this… even Netero's ability?

Clearly, he'd misunderstood. The Guanyin was being used by a puppet controlled remotely, not Ronnel himself.

Still, Ronnel could use that ability—if he wanted.

"I wonder if he can use my Nen too..." Beyond mused, stroking his chin while his team struggled to free themselves from the weeds.

...

Elsewhere—

"100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva..."

Pariston's smile remained unchanged, but the glint in his eyes deepened as he watched the radiant statue tower over the horizon.

"Now that's unexpected."

His squad advanced steadily. With his own intellect and Saiyu's ruthless precision, they were making good progress without running into trouble.

Compared to them, Ging's team looked like chaos.

"Ronnel got here ahead of us?" Ging muttered as he stuck a blade of grass between his teeth and started chewing.

"Move your asses already! If we're too late, we won't even see a single Nitro Rice!"

He didn't seem all that surprised by Ronnel's display—but he sure wasn't taking it slow.

His team responded with a chorus of complaints:

"These weeds are insane—how are we supposed to move faster?!"

"Then just set it on fire and be done with it!"

"Don't screw around, you maniac!!"

...

While Beyond's team was still tangled up, Netero—his puppet echoing his past self's fighting instincts—fully unleashed his 100-Type Guanyin.

There weren't many trees in the swamp. Maybe three or four at most.

If each Hellbell snake took one tree, then at best, there'd only be four of them.

The moment the puppet activated its ability, the other Hellbells—those hiding in the remaining trees—slithered out, their tails whipping furiously in warning.

But it did nothing.

If anything, it just made Netero go harder.

And when the Hellbells finally realized they were in danger and tried to shift tactics, it was already too late.

A massive golden palm came slicing down like a divine blade—WHAM!

The earth shook.

But the onslaught didn't stop there.

The golden Guanyin statue moved again, unleashing blow after blow in a dizzying flurry—

The ultimate flurry: Ninety-Ninth Hand.

Outside of the Zero Hand, this was Netero's strongest barrage.

For an A-level threat, he didn't hold back.

...

Sure, Hellbells were ranked A—

But that was mostly because of their tails and the eerie illusions they created.

If you stripped those away, their actual combat ability was about the same as a Chimera Ant squad leader.

So against this kind of assault from Netero?

They were done for.

...

As the combo ended, Ronnel's clone returned.

The puppet's killing intent had faded. Its aura had settled again, calm and composed.

All around the swamp, the trees had been obliterated—charred husks and scattered leaves.

And between them were bits of patterned flesh and pools of thick, dark-gray blood.

Clearly, the Hellbells hadn't stood a chance.

The clone sighed softly, then sent the puppet Netero to confirm the kills. After verifying that the snakes had been reduced to minced meat, he silently tucked away the vial of corpse poison he'd prepared.

No need for it now.

...

Still, Ronnel remained cautious. He kept control over the puppet and had it move toward the center of the swamp to retrieve the Nitro Rice.

It wasn't a place one could traverse easily without some kind of external force.

But for someone like Netero, it posed no issue.

He bent down and picked up a few of the leaves scattered around by his own attack, then flicked them into the air.

The moment they lifted off the ground, he sprang upward—

Before they could even begin to fall, he danced across their surfaces, each step as light as a dragonfly on water.

...

Within moments, he reached the heart of the swamp.

There it was—gleaming and golden Nitro Rice.

Without hesitation, Netero extended both hands, grasped the stalk, and ripped more than half of it out of the ground.

Then he stood there, holding it gently like a prize... or a memory.
