How thematic books are born

Low-tech Magazine is working on four more books to expand the thematic series. The first one will be available in a few weeks. Choosing the themes for the books and selecting the articles is often challenging. We want to publish each article only in one thematic book, while many articles cover several themes. The photo shows the preliminary selection. If any of you have ideas or comments, please let us know.

How thematic books are born

Thank you Micah!

I think "The Solar Envelope" could fit nicely in the "How to Run the Economy on the Weather" book. I also like the idea of a "We Can't Do It Ourselves" thematic book, framed around communal, cultural and large-scale changes. Possible candidates: - We Can't Do It Ourselves - Communal Luxury: The Public Bathhouse - Urban Fish Ponds - How Sustainable is High-Tech Healthcare? - The Age of Speed - Only Idiots Travel by Train - (The Solar Envelope might fit here too...) A sustainable food systems thematic book could be really nice too: - Fruit walls - Reinventing the Greenhouse - Fruit trenches - (Urban Fish Ponds could go here too!) - Vietnam's Food System - Garam - Vertical Farming Does Not Save Space - Recycling Animal Dung (but I see this is already in the Circular Economy book) - Pigeon Towers - Water Johads - Bring Back the Horses

Happy to read that!

I don't have any suggestions, but I just want to say that I love your thematic books - the first four have a treasured place on my bookshelf and I look forward to buying the next ones as they become available.
