Redesign of Patreon page
Added 2023-06-13 14:21:59 +0000 UTCWe have redesigned the tiers for the Patreon page. From now on, there are four tiers, each with their own benefits to which we will adhere to. We will be producing more exclusive content in the coming days, weeks and months. We also have two new books coming later this month.
1. Solar panel ($1). You are doing what you can, providing Low-tech Magazine with energy if the weather allows it.
2. Bike generator ($5). You make a physical effort to empower us, allowing us to publish more articles and build more low-tech prototypes. What you get in return:
- news from behind the scenes
- early access to content
- early or exclusive access to new books and special edition publications
3. Windmill ($25). You provide us with a massive blast of energy, stepping up the fight against high-tech illusions. What you get in return:
- all advantages from the lower tiers
- 1 hour of consultancy online per 6 months.
- you are mentioned as a sponsor in upcoming book publications.
4. Sailboat ($50). Your energy has no limits. You are actively helping to spread low-tech thinking all across the world. What you get in return:
- all advantages from the lower tiers
- 1 hour of consultancy online per 3 months
- you are mentioned as a sponsor in upcoming book publications.

2023-06-13 16:15:50 +0000 UTCHave you considered LiberaPay (.com) for people who only care to support you, without expecting anything in return? It's has some management overhead to have yet another donation platform of course, but it seems a little more aligned with what Low-tech Magazine stands for. They don't take any fees themselves, instead financing themselves through their own platform; otherwise very similar to Patreon.
