2022-06-24 16:08:46 +0000 UTCIf you want to do more ancient battles, there are some interesting generals from the Warring States period of China to look into (assuming you can find enough credible sources). Bai Qi, Li Mu, Wang Jian, and Lian Po are the four most famous. Bai Qi was particularly brutal-- he commanded multiple battles that supposedly surpassed 100k deaths, including the Battle of Changping which had 400k+ reported dead (though the numbers have likely been inflated over the centuries).
