Oh, just like River Big (Grande), River Reddish (Colorado) or the The Silver River (La Plata) also in Colorado. Please just say Rio de la Plata, that's the river's name, there is no need to translate the name and unnecessarily use an imperialist name.

It was directly translated into English as "The River Plate" not "Rio De La Plata" or even "La Plata River" but "River Plate" with an E, which would not be pronouced "Plata." "River Plate" is the common translation into British English, which is the language the sources used for these episodes was in.
