Gosh, I'd love a series on Bagration. That was literally the ultimate tankies go wild campaign. Neither Berlin nor Uran had this this speed, depth or range. You also have opportunity to talk about deep operations concept and its relevance to modern tank operations. Also it ends with the heartbreaking Polish drama, and urban fighting. Bagration is really the the golden one of tank warfare.

2022-02-28 15:58:51 +0000 UTCThis was awesome. Would you consider doing something similar for Operation Bagration? Or maybe it isn't donkey-y enough?

2022-02-23 15:27:00 +0000 UTCThe thing about the German lossea at Prokhorovka is quite interresting. Before they discovery of the original war diaries of the units in the archive in the former GDR, they belived the Soviet numbers, which were made up. The reason was, the Soviet generals thought it would end badly for them, if Stalin find out that they lost so many tanks, without making a dent in the German units. So they officially reported , that they basicly killed every Tiger on the eastern front plus some more in just that one battle.
