I think you guys missed out on an intro song to this episode by not using Ljube's На братских могилах. Despite the band's number one fan being the Motherland's number one topless tiger catcher and dissident poisoner, the song is quite the banger. Hats off to you all the same for producing a wonderful podcast.

2022-02-09 03:34:27 +0000 UTCLogistics wins wars. The second the Germans started the war, they lost, especially since they had to steal most of their supply trucks, or use horses and mules. If it hasn't been done yet, an episode about Liberty Ships or the voyage of the SS Ohio to Malta would be interesting.

2022-02-05 21:48:32 +0000 UTCLoved this first episode. Without been an apologist for that kleptocratic cold blooded murderer Putin, the West would be much better in dealing with Russia if they did delved further into their history than watching “Enemy at the Gates”. Keep the “yes, well Stalin killed millions of his own people” out of it. That was like a family fight. When the neighbour comes to set your house on fire and kill your dog, you don’t say “that’s okay, my brother is a shit head”. You go and take a shovel to their head. Poor analogy I know but anyway… the Soviets lost 1/6th of their population killed in WW. Not 1 out of 6 men in uniform , but 1 out of every 6 citizens of the USSR. A Soviet male born 1923 had a 20% chance be still being alive in 1945. And you think the Vietnam war scarred the American psyche. That scale of impact is still alive today with a lot of memory of loss. Yet the West thinks the war was won on the Beaches of Normandy. Some humility on our part would go far in understanding the almost paranoia the Russian people feel about the West’s true intentions. We think we are the forces of light and freedom but they see our actions in the Middle East, Central and South American, Africa (it would be easier to list where the US hasn’t tried to topple governments and “nation build”) and have some well supported concerns. Again, history brought Putin to power. The least we can do is understand that history. Thanks for making this effort to do so.

2022-02-04 18:01:15 +0000 UTC"2 boxers that have gone 9 rounds" reminds me of the crazy 19th century boxing matches that had no round limits.

2022-02-04 12:49:33 +0000 UTCThe title is a bit ambiguous, Hitler was a terrible at many a job, Military leader, Diplomat, International statesman, painter and probably accidentally ate meat all the time too. I would love a bonus episode on the film "The Death of Stalin" it's hilarious
