One big reason I subscribe is because you don't take ads. The other big reason is your awesome content, of course.

Hey, long time listener first time asker. 1st of all I wanna say I took my time to listen to this ep since I put aside the time to watch all of The Pacific first, thanks for making me get around to it. Secondly, I think it was this ep where you said most armies are top-heavy wrt officers vs enlisted men/NCOs, with the exception of the US Army. Did the US approach of giving NCOs more decision making power adopted by other NATO forces? I'm wondering specifically about the British Army here but I get it if you just don't know, in the specific or generally

props to not doing ads. That shit is the scourge of the podcasting world. We get it, you gotta eat, but one more ad for a MeUndies or a Gdamn stamps dot com... shit is the plague

Yay Liam! Another episode to speak about unspeakable crimes!

The movie reel Joe mentioned is well done. https://youtu.be/NMwKHnSRaEE

My old college advisor was in the Peace Corps and when they asked him where he'd like to go, he said "somewhere with access to water" because he didn't want to be in the desert, so they sent him to Kiribati

Great episode and quite enjoyed the question from the legion. Caaaw!

A series on the battle of Okinawa would definitely need several animal facts. If you want to absolutely ruin your day, the book Descent into Hell has first hand accounts of Japanese civilians "saving" their families and it legitimately fucked me up for a long while after reading.

Any other corpse infrastructure coming up in future episodes?

Man this is making me kinda wanna hear Joe get depressed talking about Saipan. Saipan is maybe one of the more grim and depressing battles I've read about.

Jamie Evenstar

Peleliu was another one of these that even at the time was regarded as a stupid waste of men and gear.

Call back to "The Battle of Athens" one of the GI Party organizers (Bill White?) was there on Tarawa, And of course Siwash the most gungho duck of WW2. From the Animal Stories episode.

Great episode! Although I was hoping to hear an interview from "Ms. Jack" about receiving her CAR for fending off the Japanese rooster!

Patreon tier idea💡, Joe reads a fake ad for a fake product you came up with. However, with Joe's luck he'll inadvertently read one of the startups that Riley reads on tracks future

I got to do a tiger cruise on the ship Tarawa. For the limited space, the on ship museum/shrine to the battle it’s named after was dope. Can’t wait to hear about why the battle the ship I was on is stupids
