EARLY: Jesse James and Missouri During the Civil War
Added 2021-10-29 17:50:38 +0000 UTCFrancis Horton of Hell of a Way to Die takes the wheel and teaches Joe about the patron saint of his state, Jesse James.

Francis mixed up the Pottawatomie massacre and the Raid on Harper's Ferry. The massacre occured in 1856 and the raid in 1859 which ended in Brown's uprising being put down by famed asshole Robert E Lee and Brown's death.

The KU/MU rivalry used to be a REAL rivalry, kids in schools would get in fights over which college they supported. Kinda like Ohio and Michigan, I’ve lived in MO almost all my life, still a Kansan through and through.

2021-10-29 20:01:38 +0000 UTCThe Potawatomi massacre and the raid on harpers ferry are separate events that happened three years apart. Also it's important to stress that the pro slavery massacres and attacks absolutely outnumbered by a wide margin the anti slavery ones. John Brown was the (justified) exception not the rule. I like Francis but that's some Ken Burnes ass bullshit
