Its a weirdly high budget B movie that had some fun and dumb as hell ideas. Like a less fun Van Helsing (2004) I remember seeing the Star Wars retelling and thinking it was a neat idea, but you guys are right in that the more you think about any aspect of the films setting the worse it gets.
