I just so happened to listen to this episode during Trump's second term around the same time he decided to rename the Gulf of Mexico, so Joe's comments on the insanity of renaming things ended up being weirdly prophetic.

Guy who wrote Die Hard said it was not a Christmas movie. Literally the same argument you folks make to claim it is could be said of the Exorcist. A movie taking place during late December does not make it a Christmas movie any more than being on Hoth made Empire Strikes Back one. Exorcist , Die Hard & It's a Wonderful Life all take place at the same time. Only one is a Christmas movie.

Just on the subject of heroes in movies always killing bad guys to steal their clothes which fit perfectly: in both Raiders of the Lost Ark (submarine base) and The Last Crusade (book burning), Indy punches nazis to steal their uniforms, and then has to punch extra nazis to assemble a uniform. And then in THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIE EVER, Die Hard, John Maclean takes the weapons off the first terrorist he kills, but has to remain barefoot because the other guy has smaller feet. This later becomes a critical plot point when Hans Gruber shoots out the glass so Maclean has to run across glass shards.
