Finally, a Librarians show without THE Librarian! Flynn Carsen is nowhere to be found in The Librarians: The Next Chapter and it's debatable whether or not that's a good thing. What is a good thing? Micah & I are actually becoming bigger libtards than ever thought possible thanks to a whole new cast of characters and a solid tone that's more in line with what we wanted out of the previous series!
Then again, this is the first time we're watching more than just the first and last episodes... but... nahhh that can't be it!

Comparing the two series, I think this new show is good, but I find the characters much less charming. I really like the new show and I'm looking forward to seeing what they do for season 2, but I still feel like I really don't know any of the characters except Vikram. You can make fun of the old show for starting off with 1-dimensional stock characters, but that's kind of what you need for a freak-of-the-week series. However, I think plot-for-plot, this one has stronger writing and a lot of fun ideas.
