Been a while since I've done one of these fan projects, but I randomly ran into Fang VonWrathstein a few weeks ago and took it as a sign from the metal gods that it was time to do another.

Fang was super enthusiastic and helpful through the whole process, and it was really a blast using the album's themes to dig into the core of the archetypes it represents; oaths and oathbreaking, the tension between duties of rule and duties of conscience, and the psychology of a fall from grace.

Anyways, there's a bunch of humanoids here that should be usable in any sort of urban campaign, but especially if you want to run something using the album's setting or themes; guardians of balance, organized criminals, corrupted blackguards, and angry mobs abound, with esoteric spellcasting traditions for each.

Listen to the album here if you haven't had a chance yet, it slaps. The band perform in costume and their music is big and melodramatic and fantastical; they're really just the best sort of metal nerds and were lovely to work with. Patreon has let them retain the rights to their music and evade a lot of the more predatory elements of the music industry, so check theirs out here, especially if you're in/near the midwestern US; they do an annual patrons-only concert that looks like incredible fun.
