Surf Boards! (Pun Intended)

We put a LOT of effort into the pre-production on Surf & Turf Wars (both parts!), including hiring dedicated storyboard artists. Vic Hill, Lauren Kisich, and co-director Andy Clift all contributed to these incredibly detailed layouts.
We've shared a gallery of storyboard pages here from scenes 1, 2 and 9 (the monster transformation) that highlight a variety of different shot types. Those of you with an interest in animation/film will notice how we combine, join, or alter the frames to suit specific camera movements. Each artist has their own approach too, sometimes showing more detailed expressions or movements. What's important is that when it goes to the animator they know exactly what's expected.
Over the next few days and weeks we'll share some more boards, animatics, and character designs from S&T for those on the WIPs tier and higher! Look out for them...
