I wonder though, does Vivi or Sesam know about his past? Like, Vivi knows he is an undead necromancer, but does she know he is ancient? Has he revealed to her anything else about his past? I just wonder what she knows about him.

Or he was so stricken with grief he wanted to harm all those who have wronged him and those he cared for. The latter would support the traumatic flashbacks he had because of Hargrave.
