Epub version of the chapter is also attached below!
Well well well, this is actually the longest Katalepsis chapter in quite a while! I had expected to hit some 10K+ chapters in this final stretch of arc 24, but this is the first time it's actually happened. This one just kept growing and growing, metatextual Heather going full squid and scrungling all over the page and the keyboard as the chapter unfolded. I hope you enjoy this one, dear readers! It was a blast to write, and ... well, you'll see the places it goes!
Also also! This is just a little reminder: Katalepsis will be on another regular scheduled break week next Saturday! The next chapter will be published on the 28th September!
I know I've mentioned this in a couple of other places already, but behind the scenes, the new schedule is going very well; this adjustment to the regular publishing schedule has allowed me to give each chapter that little bit more time and attention, both in planning and editing. So! Thank you for all your support! I'll keep doing my best!
And! For those of you who do not frequent the discord, I have a little art treat, once again! This week we have the one and only Eyetism Creature, Eileen herself, rendered in pixel art by the endlessly talented skaianDestiny. And a bonus version, because the Knights are very excited about her. There's also an animated piece of pixel art, 'The Archives', by Ardis, but I can't link it directly because I had to upload it as an mp4, so just head on over to the fanart page and check out the arc 24 section!

Oh, huh! That's really interesting to hear, actually. Readers have mentioned that before with really long chapters in the past, some of them just seem to fly by, because there's so much density of stuff happening, either emotionally or otherwise. And thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

2024-09-14 21:08:32 +0000 UTCThe genre has collapsed into itself and given way to giant monsters, comedy (poor Jan), and psychological horrors for which Heather was not prepared. And I am very glad to hear you're enjoying it so much, thank you!

2024-09-14 14:17:25 +0000 UTCPerhaps this is the consequence! The consequence of how Heather has been treating herself, all this time?

2024-09-14 14:16:19 +0000 UTCThis dream is spinning out of control. Now we even have kaiju stomping around. I'm here for the chaos, and I am loving it. ❤️
