Update 8/30/21: Jeff!

Introducing the newest recruitable party member, Jeff!

Jeff is Phoebe's husband, an overworked guy who loves his wife, but perhaps isn't too wild about her weight gain... And that's before you recruit her, and she packs on the pounds. That said, as a boob man, he finds it hard to resist Phoebe's... wiles, and while he doesn't condone your behavior... Well, it doesn't matter what he thinks. Nobody cares what Jeff thinks!

Jeff is unique in the context of FEF in that he will start at level one, and remain at level one. He cannot gain exp, or eat people; he's just a regular guy being dragged along to aid his gluttonous wife. He'll have extremely high evasion (or its rpgmaker equivalent, anyway) and lower odds of being targeted by enemies, so his low stats shouldn't be too much of a hindrance, I hope. Obviously, the numbers part of this character is extremely up in the air, as is much of the combat design in general. I'll figure that out eventually!

"Now, why would I want this character to take up a valuable slot in my party?" you may ask. Well, recruiting Jeff--which can only be done if you have Phoebe--unlocks powerful offensive skills that she otherwise doesn't have.  At least, that's the plan, anyway. Furthermore, there is an intended story outcome that can only occur with the two of them together--but that's a ways off for now.

Jeff's design, I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit, took longer than I expected. My non-kink artstyle leans heavy into the stylized shonen look, which wouldn't fit Jeff's vanilla appearance.  And having never drawn a 'dad' hairstyle before... Some research was needed, if you could call it that, haha. Still, I'm kinda pleased with how he turned out.  His face could be better--not more handsome, but less wonky, in a way--but overall I'm satisfied.

Also of note, the screenshots are excerpts from the recruit conversation. Depending on Phoebe's size, the conversations will be different, although the outcome is the same. And as you can see, Phoebe's new size--parts of it, anyway, have certainly been noticed!
