v0.6 Progress Log 7

Progress log here! 

Development hasn't been very eventful, so this is going to be a fairly short log. The main thing that was done was wrapping up the writing, importing sprites, importing and polishing dialogue, etc, for the remaining events across all POIs.

When importing stuff for the new POI, it dawned on me that some elements of the events were actually a bit outdated.  The events were made before the decision of getting rid of level 8 was made, which led to the level 4 and 5 events not being as sassy as they should've been, so I went back and essentially remade those events. The events for levels 0 through 3 still work very well and remain the same. Something interesting is that the updated concept for the level 5 events turned out to be a lot more fun than expected, and I wanted to make something special with it. So, long story short, I developed it further and pushed and made it so now it works as a big special event that will wrap up level 5 for Hana, and also wraps up v0.6 content. It's not quite a level up event, but it has a similar vibe to it. These new level 5 events require a couple new CGs which are halfway done.


As I mentioned in another post, the level 5 pool events are quite special as well. Not going to spoil anything, all I can say is that a lot of stuff was needed for these new pool events, and all of that stuff has mostly been wrapped up. All that's left is a bit of CG work, and the routine codes.

The writing for the remaining post level up events at the infirmary has been wrapped up as well.

Overall, wrapping up and importing the event stuff wasn't very eventful. However, now that the events have had their stuff imported, I've moved on to the routine coding, which is the final step before finally releasing the update.

I'll be leaving the detailed coding news for the next log, as that log will be focused entirely on routine stuff.

That does it for the development progress. Again, development hasn't very eventful and thus the short length of the log. 

So, finally onto the coding... it's been interesting. Again, I'll leave the details for next time, but I can say that the update is very close.

The coding might wrap up before the remaining CG work is done, in which case I would look into getting a couple very early testers to play the update with a couple missing CGs for the sake of finding out the big bugs while the remaining CG work is done, that way I can clear said bugs before releasing the update. If anyone is interested in going in the front lines then let me know!
