What's coming in v0.6 + v0.6 Progress Log 1

Alright, here is the long due post about v0.6, let's get right into it!

For starters, what's coming in v0.6?:

That's the gist of it. There's a few more things coming, but for now let's focus on the ones mentioned as these are the important ones.

Anyhow, let's talk more in-depth about those things coming in v0.6 and how development has gone.

New lewdness level, yes, finally. It's been almost a year since a new lewdness level was added. Of course, with a new lewdness level you can expect to see a new set of events throughout every POI in which Hana will be even lewder and more daring than before, look forward to that! 

As to how this part of the update is coming along. It's still fairly early in development with the raw ideas for the events lying around waiting to be properly written as right now focus has been mostly given to the new POI.

Now, what about the new POI? Well, this is a bit of an interesting one, you see, this POI is outdoors instead of indoors like the rest of the POIs, so there were a few things that had to be done differently and I had to experiment/learn new things for it. There was a lot of trail and error, but in the end it came along quite nicely. Anyhow, the visuals/building side of things is done.

Now as for the content and events in this new POI. This POI is also a bit different from the rest. This POI is one that you can only use, as opposed to being able to use it and work in it like the rest of the POIs. This creates a bit of an interesting dynamic which is a bit hard to explain, but basically in order for some of the events to happen and make sense they needed more lines and interactions than the average event, so those events ended up needing their own routine. Anyhow, expect a few of the events in the new POI to be lengthier than usual, have more build up, and some scripting in them as some parts of them will be controlled entirely through a routine.

As for how the development of the events in the new POI is going, the writing side of things has been fairly lengthy, but straightforward and it's about 70% done. The not so straightforward part was actually the sprites and CGs. The events in this new POI ended up having a lot more going on, so there were far more bodies, clothing, expressions, etc done for these events when compared to events from other POIs. This actually took a lot of time, but hey, the events will have a lot more going so that's nice.

Now, NPCs. One of my issues with v0.5 was how the new dynamic NPC system made it so at times some POIs felt fairly empty, so for this update a lot of npc's were made and spread throughout all the POIs. This of course took a lot of time as well, but it was necessary.

That's it for specific parts of development, now, as to how the overall development has been going these past couple months, there's been a few hiccups. A lot of time was spent on holiday related stuff, some unexpected IRL things that had to be addressed, then my computer's power supply literally blew up and caught on fire. Yeah, that last one was fun, took about 2 weeks to address that due to how hard it was to get a PS that was good enough and getting all the software that became corrupt because of it back to speed. Overall, there's been some hiccups, but all things considered, the development has moved nicely.

Anyhow, this post has gone long enough. There's more stuff to talk about when it comes to some new important events coming that aren't related to POIs, but I'll be leaving that for the next post.

Thanks for the support! Gave some deep thought to the idea of a discord and it ultimately came down to pros and cons. Pros, I could get bug reports faster, some alpha testers and some general feedback. Cons, requests, requests, and probably some more requests. I don't know, I'm still giving it some thought.

Definitely less than 3 months, even with a few hiccups. If nothing goes terribly wrong then less than 2 months.

I still have hope and patience for this project. I'm happy that you're still keeping us updated :) I've been supporting/pledging this project for more than a year now. I know I asked this awhile back, but I definitely think you should set up a discord community ^^ I'd love to help you out in anyway aside from pledging.
